Chapter 6

Victor woke. His head hurt. He was shirtless and in his boxer shorts. They had hearts on them. His pants were dangling off the side of the bed. He was laying in the floor. Victor grabbed the side of the bed and pulled himself up into a standing position. His legs felt wobbly but they strengthened as he stood. He rubbed his smooth stomach and tossed his head back to look up toward the white ceiling and the black ceiling fan. A white sock dangled off the side of one of the blades as the blades swooped round and round.

Victor walked to the dresser. He looked in the mirror. He saw his eyes were blood shot. He noticed a stack of one hundred dollar bills on the dresser. He counted twenty of them. He mumbled to himself, “I told Stewart he didn’t have to pay me back the money I gave him.”

Victor walked to the bathroom that was off from his bedroom. He pulled a blue towel and a white wash rag from the cabinet. He hung them on the outside of the shower door. He opened the medicine cabinet that was set back in the wall, above the large round sink that was painted gold set in a long counter that was black and white marble. He removed an aspirin bottle from a glass shelf. He opened the lid and turned it to toss an aspirin into his hand. The bottle was empty. He tossed the aspirin bottle into the green garbage can set in an opening below the counter.

Victor pulled off his boxers and tossed them into a green hamper next to the garbage can. He rubbed his stomach and his cock. He massaged his hairy balls and his prostate area. He turned the shower on and waited a few seconds for the water to warm. Then he stepped into the shower and enjoyed the feel of warm water streaming over his naked body.

Victor remembered waking up where he thought he had fallen asleep on Jossette’s grave. He didn’t know about his other personality George or that George had passed out on the grave after a few hours of partying with Tabitha. Still, he remembered talking to Tabitha before George had taken over. He remembered her being at the grave with him. George implanted an image, a thought in Victor’s head of Tabitha saying bye and walking away though that is not what had happened.

Victor pulled the washrag from the outside of the shower door. He picked up a bottle of Joy from a shelf in the shower. He poured a bit of Joy from the bottle onto the washrag and washed himself good. He took deep breaths and told himself he felt better. He had no idea that what he was feeling was a hang over though he knew his head hurt and his eyes felt weird.

Invisible, naked, the ghost of Artorius appeared in the shower with Victor. Artorius admired Victor’s body. With a giggle Artorius touched Victor’s cock. “It is so fucking big.” Artorius looked at his own cock that was smaller. Artorius whispered, “When you astral project in the future and try to search for Jossette I want to be with you. Man to man, I want to talk with you.” Artorius walked through the shower door and through an outside wall.

Artorius stood outside in the mid air. Though his ghost was in the form of an older man that was the age when the Space Alien Witches Council had him burned at the stake, he admired his body. “I may not have the youth of Victor or his cock size but I don’t look so bad, for a dead man.”

Artorius looked at the balcony outside of Judy’s bedroom. He looked at the open, french, balcony doors into her bedroom. She sat at a dresser combing her black hair. “A beautiful woman. If only I could find the magic to come back to life as me and not endure the anguish and confusion of reincarnation. I wonder if she astral projects. Oh well, I feel the Ramsey Mansion that is my prison pulling me back.” Artorius left from outside the Ogleby home.

Meanwhile…

Victor, fully dressed and feeling better from his shower, stepped into the huge kitchen where his mom was cooking breakfast. Victor’s brother Stewart was seated at a fifties style dinette table in a large nook off the kitchen. It was silver with a red top. The chairs at the table were silver with red, plastic, cushions. The large nook was rounded with a large rounded window designed with small white wooden panes as the back “wall” of the nook. The wall sized window looked out on the wooden red patio deck. There was another table off from the bar in the center of the kitchen which is where Victor’s mom Ellen had set the plates.

Victor walked over and kissed his mom on the cheek. “Good morning.”

Ellen smiled at her son. “You came in late last night. Your father said you had alcohol on your breath.”

“Maybe he had alcohol on his breath. I am sure that I did not. Still I am sorry that I woke you all. I was in Atlanta and I fell…”

“You fell…”

Victor didn’t want his mom to know about Jossette and so he didn’t finish his sentence about falling asleep on Jossette’s grave. Victor lied. “I fell asleep in a movie theater. It was rather embarrassing.”

Stewart was listening. He asked, “What movie did you have to drive all the way Atlanta to see?”

“Gone With The Wind. I like to watch it on the big screen.”

Stewart said, “One of those Artsy Theaters that serve beer and pizza I guess.”

“I was not drinking.” Victor walked over and gave Stewart the twenty one hundred bills he had found on his dresser. “I told you that you did not have to pay me back the money.”

Stewart looked at the money that Victor had handed him. “What?”

“That is the money left on my dresser.”

Stewart counted the money in his hand. “I don’t know what to say. You are giving me two thousand dollars.”

Victor said, “I am rich. You keep the money.”

Stewart put the money in his pocket. “Thanks.”

Victor smiled. An image flashed in Victor’s mind of a large biker dude counting the money out to him after losing at a game of billiards. Victor shook the image from his head and thought, “Weird.”

Elliot came into the kitchen. “So Victor, who were you partying with last night?” Elliot poured himself a cup of coffee.

Victor walked over and poured himself a cup of coffee as well. “No one. I went to Atlanta.”

Stewart said, “To watch ‘Gone With the Wind’ at one of those pizza and beer theaters. Can you believe that? What a dork.” Stewart felt the money in pocket. He quickly added, “Who I dearly love.”

Elliot asked, “You didn’t see the movie with a girl?”

“I ran into Tabitha Angster at the cemetery.”

Ellen asked, “What? What were you doing at a cemetery in Atlanta?”

“I was walking around before the movie started. I missed the first showing and so I was killing time.”

Stewart said, “Tabitha Angster. Now that is a name from the past. Did she say how asshole Roger and asshole Jossette are doing?”

Victor said, “Tabitha is very pretty.” Victor looked at his dad. “You know, she is Jossette’s half sister.”

Elliot said, “Lawrence told me about that situation.”

Ellen asked, “What situation.”

Victor said, “Lawrence had an affair with Rosanne. Tabitha is their love child.”

Stewart said, “Roger never told me about that.”

Victor said, “It did not come out until they were in the process of moving to Atlanta. Though the affair was long over, that was the reason that Terence divorced Lawrence.”

Stewart said, “Yeah, Roger moved to Atlanta and just stopped talking to me. I guess I was no longer good enough, not rich enough, to be his friend.”

Victor looked at his mom. Then he looked at his father.

Stewart continued. “And the way Jossette did you. My God, you were in love with her and she just broke up with you without even a ‘Dear John Letter.'”

Ellen said, “Victor and Jossette were too young to be in love. I…”

Elliot said, “Ellen. Don’t.”

Victor said, “I was thinking I might try to date Tabitha. She is working as a maid for Arthur and Clarice Ramsey.”

Stewart said, “A maid. Just like her mom was for Rachel. You are rich and you want to date a maid.”

Victor said, “There is nothing wrong with being a maid. She is pretty.” Victor changed the subject. “You know, there was something strange at the cemetery.”

Elliot whispered in Ellen’s ear. “He was visiting her grave.”

Ellen nodded.

Neither Victor nor Stewart heard the whisper.

Victor continued. “There was grave of Artorius and Sette Ramsey and the tombstone had a picture of them inset on it. Sette favored Jossette but as far as I know they weren’t related by blood.”

Ellen said, “I remember Rachel telling me that Artorius died in a fire. It was an awful way to die. When I was a little girl I met Artorius and Sette. My mother and I were in line for me to see Santa Claus and they were there with Arthur. Arthur teased me and told me they were witches. Then Arthur pulled a flower out of my ear. I was amazed. I believed him. Then my mom explained magicians and magic acts to me.” Ellen looked at Elliot. “You know, later, older, Arthur and I dated for a bit.”

Elliot said, “I know.”

Ellen said, “So Victor, you were saying that Jossette favored Sette even though they were not related by blood.”

Judy walked into the room. She walked to the kitchen cabinet and pulled out a bottle of aspirin. She threw the bottle for Victor to catch. He caught the bottle and popped the lid. He took two aspirin and swallowed with a cup of coffee. “How did you know that I had a headache.”

Judy said, “As drunk as you were last night it would be a miracle if you didn’t have a headache.”

“I wasn’t drinking.”

Judy joked. “Took it straight from IV, huh. Yeah. Right. Brother.”

Stewart laughed. “I gather from this weird conversation he was partying with Tabitha Angster in a cemetery.”

Judy nodded with rolled eyes. “Kinky. So was Mark Ramsey there?”

“No. Though Tabitha was saying how much Mark favors the picture of Artrorius on the grave.”

Judy said, “I need to ask Steed if he is kin to Mark since they have the same last name. That would be weird, wouldn’t it?”

Victor asked, “Why would it be weird?”

Judy said, “Because Mark was practically in love with you. Mark and Jossette were practically rivals.”

Victor shook his head. “What the hell are you talking about?” Victor thought about Tabitha seeming surprised that he didn’t know Mark Ramsey. George whispered into Victor’s head. “Let it drop. You don’t care. Let it drop.”

Judy continued. “So Mark wasn’t there. What about Jossette and Roger?”

Victor felt a pain in his stomach. He looked at his dad. He looked back at Judy. “No.”

George whispered in Victor’s head. “Stay calm. Don’t get upset.”

Victor said, “It was just Tabitha and there was no party. I don’t know why you all think I was drunk last night. I had not been drinking.”

Judy said, “See, that is why Victor is such a good poker player.”

Ellen asked, “Why is that dear?”

Judy said, “I almost believe Victor and I was there last night when Victor came home. I was there when dad and Steed took you up to your bedroom.”

“Steed helped me up to my bedroom. That is a disturbing thought.”

Elliot said, “Yeah, it was disturbing. Steed saw your monster cock slip out of your boxers. He might be scarred for life.”

Stewart laughed. “Yeah, that thing has scarred all of us for life, who have seen it.”

Victor rolled his eyes. Then he laughed. “Yeah, when I die I want a picture of it put on my tombstone and with the epitaph, ‘Eat Your Heart Out.'”

Stewart nodded. “And on the other side of the tombstone a picture of Zombies eating someone’s heart out. That would be so cool.”

Victor put his coffee down and walked to Stewart to give him a high five. “Hell yeah.”

Judy moaned, “Now I have that image in my mind. How gross. Mom. Why couldn’t I have sisters rather than brothers?”

Ellen smiled. “I prayed that you would be a girl but I love your brothers.”

Chapter 5

Victor parked his orange mustang. He held flowers in his hand as he walked to the grave of Jossette Ogleby. There were already fresh flowers on the grave. He looked around the cemetery and saw another lot that did not have fresh flowers on it. He noticed the graves of Nette and Artorius Ramsey. Victor put the flowers he had intended to put on the grave of Jossette on the grave of Nette.

The ghost of Artorius appeared at Victor’s side though Victor could not see him or hear him. Artorius said, “You son of a bitch, you stay away from my wife.”

Victor stared at the picture of Artorius and Nette that was embossed on the grave. “A handsome couple,” Victor said.

“You son a bitch, flattery will get you no where. I hated you from the moment I first saw you with Nette.”

Victor turned back to the grave of Jossette. He walked to it and sat down at the headstone. “I love you. I will always love you. Would it be wrong if I met someone new? Would it be wrong if I came to hold someone else in my arms.”

“Yeah. You do that. Move on. And leave my wife the hell alone.”

Victor said, “Sometimes I astral project and I walk among the dead. I have searched for you. I can’t find you. I long to find you when I am on the other side. I want to hold you in my arms. I want to talk with you. I loved our conversations. I will never find anyone as smart as you are but still I want to look.”

“You can’t find her either. She is not coming to you just like she is not coming to me. Maybe she does hate me but she would come to you. Wouldn’t she? I know I saw her die in the hospital but I don’t think she is dead. Where is she?”

Tabitha walked up to Victor. “George?”

“I am Victor.”

“Of course Victor. I am sorry. For some reason I thought you were someone else.”

Victor looked up at Tabitha. “Do you come to Jossette’s grave often?”

“I loved Jossette but I am the maid for Arthur and Clarice. Their mansion is just down the block. So when I am walking, I come to the cemetery. But yeah, I come to Jossette’s grave. She is my half-sister.”

“Of course.” Victor stood up. “I brought flowers but there were already fresh flowers on the grave. I put my flowers on the grave of Artorius and Nette.”

“Arthur’s grandparents.”

“Oh. I didn’t know. It is odd that Jossette favored Nette since she wasn’t a Ramsey.”

“Yeah, I don’t think there was any cheating there.” Tabitha thought about the words that had flown out her mouth. She laughed. “So you still like to notice how people favor. I never realized that I favored Rachel or my father until your realization.”

“I am glad that you know your father now. I always liked Lawrence. That said, I did not mean to cause problems back then.”

“I know. Terence was going to figure it out. I would not say that you were the cause.”

“I am sorry about Lawrence and Terence but I am glad that you know who your father is.”

“Oh yeah. I love my father. He is moving back to Hearthville from Savannah. Mom is moving to Atlanta.”

“That is good that the two of you, you and your mom, will be back closer. Not that I was being nosey but Terence had told me that you and your mom had problems.”

“Sure. Mom is a cuss. She is a character. But I do love her,” Tabitha said as she walked around to where Artorious and Nette were buried. “You noticed that Nette and Jossette favor. Did you notice anything else?”

Victor walked around to the grave. He looked at the tombstone. He looked at the picture of the couple. “No. I didn’t notice anything else.”

“You don’t think Artorious favors someone.”

“Maybe Arthur a little bit. I guess.”

“No one else?”

“Who?”

“You don’t think Mark Ramsey favors him a bit?”

“Who?”

“Arthur’s son.”

“I don’t really know Arthur’s son.”

Tabitha stared at Victor. “You don’t?”

“No.”

Mark, who now goes by the name Steed, had told Tabitha that Victor does not recognize him. He had told her that Victor does not seem to know him and that he had not told Victor that he was Mark. But Tabitha knew more about the situation than what Mark had told her. She had talked to someone else even more close to the situation. Still, she had not shared what she knew with Mark.

Artorious laughed. “Hell yeah. My spell is still working.”

Tabitha reached out and hugged Victor. “I am so sorry for what happened,” Tabitha said as she knew well the locked door her words as a key would open.

Victor hugged Tabitha back. “Yes. I miss Jossette. I don’t think I will ever get over her death.” Victor released Tabitha from the hug and he reached to hold his head that had begun to hurt.

Tabitha whispered, “Yes, but I mean earlier. I mean what Rachel and Rita did to you.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Tabitha said, “So, do you want to go get coffee?”

Victor’s expression suddenly changed. He roughly kissed Tabitha on the lips as he hugged her tightly in his arms as though they were lovers. “I don’t want no damn coffee. I want some booze. I want some gambling. I want some dancing. And I want some pussy if you are game.”

Tabitha said, “George.”

Victor/George laughed. “Yeah, when you tried to get Victor to remember what had happened to him, here I be now. You know I am not going to let him remember that shit. You knew what you were doing.”

“I knew you would emerge. Still. Maybe you should let him remember.”

“I’ve told you before that Victor is different. He will not just remember it, he will relive it. He could die reliving it. Do you want him dead? Do you want me dead?”

“Of course not.”

“I did not think so.” George kissed Tabitha some more. “So, do you want to go party?”

“You know that I do. Before we go though, I want you to know something.”

“What is that?”

“I love you.”

“Love is just a four letter word for people who don’t want to say fuck.”

Hearthville Serial 3: What Happened To Victor – Chapter 4

What Happened To Victor

After Willy disappeared the fire monster transformed to a dapper elderly looking man in a black top hat and tuxedo. His black shoes were shinny. His handlebar mustache was silver. He walked and skipped in the clouds, at times with great cheer taking flying leaps. A black wand with white tips appeared in his hand. Spinning the wand as though it were a baton, on one of the clouds he spun around and did a soft shoe dance, ending by sliding to his knees. With a smile on his face and a sparkle in his blue eyes he puzzled, “I wonder what Willy’s story is. Maybe someday I should find out.” With those words the fire monster, Artorius Ramsey vanished from the cloud.

Chapter 4

Back to the present….

Rita continued to sit at a concrete table on the patio. She stood from the table and walked to the covered swimming pool. There was sparkling clear water above the baby blue cover with no leaves or debris. Standing at the pool and seeing her own reflection in the water, Rita felt a strangeness about her. She talked to herself. She talked to the reflection. “There was a witch. I know there was a witch. There was not just a demon inside of me that caused me to become so crazy. That next day close to evening Rachel and I became lucid enough to realize that we had left Victor in the boot of a car. We were frantic. We could not remember where we had left Victor in the boot. Where was the car! It was all so strange. Rachel called Arthur. I thank God Arthur was able to find and save Victor.” Rita shook her head. “And Victor doesn’t even remember what happened. I am not sure if I remember it fully or correctly either. I know there was a witch about when the madness happened, as crazy as that sounds. I know people like to say, ‘The devil made me do it.” I know I am to blame for what I did. All of my crazy doings were not because of a witch, but there was a witch. Still, how can I tell people that, that which sounds so ridiculous. Other than Rachel, who might believe me, and she is in a mental institution. And here I am talking to myself.” Rita laughed out loud. “If you, my reflection, should talk back that would be something. My madness would be complete.”

The ghost of Willy Doomis stood at Rita’s side. He looked around. “Why am I here? I don’t want to be here.” His eyes focused on Rita. “Oh dear.” A look of true fright appeared on Willy’s face. “Oh dear. This is not good. I have felt that force before.” He whispered in Rita’s ear, “There is a force here. It is a dangerous force. It summons your words. It controls your reflection. Leave. Leave now. It is waking and it is growing more powerful. Leave!”

Rita felt a chill. She looked around but she saw no one. She had not heard Willy’s voice to heed his warning. Still on some level she seemed to have some sense of what he had said.

The water began to move. The reflection began to ripple. Rita’s hand was still but the hand reflected in the water began to move. It began to reach.

“Whoever you are, you don’t scare me. I will not be scared. If I ever face the witch I will face him or her down. I will not be scared. Cool the air to even ice and still I will not be spooked. Cause those moving hands in the water to spring forth to strangle me and I will not be phased. I know how to fight.”

The water stilled. The reflection sprung to dive through the cover down into the pool. Rita smiled. She lied. “I am not scared. You do not scare me.”

Willy Doomis nervously laughed with a horrified look on his ghostly face. “I am scared enough for the both of us. I am getting out of here.” Puzzled to even why he had appeared next to her, he vanished from her side. As Willy flew through the air as only a ghost can fly he pondered what he had seen. “What the fuck was that in the pool?”

Suddenly a fiery blast blew like an explosion and rolled into a fireball. The fireball had a face that was cartoon like. The fireball had a thunderous and monstrous voice. “Willy Doomis, have you ever had your ass spanked and pounded by a great ball of fire?”

Willy screamed like a girl. “Stay away from me.” Willy managed to vanish from the ghostly fire monster.

Rita took a deep breath with no sense that Artorius was at her side. “You always were a silly girl. Not scared. Indeed.”

Rita walked toward the West Wing of the Ramsey Mansion. Arthur drove up and blew his horn at Rita.

Artorius moaned. “Oh fuck. That damn grandson of mine is going to spoil all of my fun.”

Arthur got out of his car and walked up to Rita while she waited. Arthur said, “Mark called me and said that what had been planned had been called off. Since I was in the area I thought I would come by and check on the place before going back to Atlanta.”

Rita stared at Arthur. She put her hand on his shoulder. “I didn’t know about Jossette. I don’t know why Tabitha or Sam didn’t mention it to me. I am sorry that Jossette’s death pushed Rachel over the edge.”

Artorius listened carefully to the words being spoken.

“The entire family took Jossette’s death hard. None of us like to talk about it because talking about it makes it feel real and we don’t want it to feel real.”

Artorius rolled his eyes. “Why don’t you tell her the truth about Jossette? Why don’t you tell me the truth about Jossette? If only I could muster the power to pull those words from you.”

“I understand.” Rita nodded. “By the way, have I ever thanked you for saving Victor?”

“Yes. You thanked me.”

“Does Mark know?”

“About the boot of the car and the shape Victor was in? No. About the witch? No.”

“You know about the witch?”

Artorius laughed. “He is as much a witch as I am.”

“Rachel believes there was a witch. She told me that you believe there was a witch. I don’t know.”

Artorius said, “You liar. Of course you know. You just don’t know which witch or why.”

Rita said, “I loved the time that Mark and I spent with Victor and Jossette. Regardless of what I told Mark, I will cry tonight over Jossette in private.”

Solemnly Artorius looked at Rita. With sadness in his eyes, he touched her hair. “You would cry over my Jossette.”

“It is the tears we cry in private that are the most heart felt.”

“I honestly loved Victor and Jossette and Mark. Then something happened. My thoughts became so weird. I can’t explain it. Maybe I did become that evil all on my own and I used the witch as an excuse, but our minds were affected during those days and that night when murder was in my heart. It was not just Rachel and me acting weird. Jossette and Mark were affected. At one point they were frozen in place and then they left the attic room in such a strange way, like they were sleep walking. Even if the evil was of my own doing, there was a witch.”

Artorius said, “Indeed. Victor should have stayed the fuck away from my Jossette. I was not wrong to use my magic.”

Arthur said, “There are witches. I don’t argue against what you and Rachel say on that subject.”

Artorius said, “Be careful not to tell her too much.”

Rita asked, “Do you have any idea who the witch is that would want Rachel and myself to kill Victor?”

Arthur said, “Not a clue.”

Artorius left their side.

Rita said, “But there has to be a clue. The answer might be in the West Wing.”

“Is that where you were going? Were you going to search the West Wing for answers?”

“I guess it was a silly notion.” Rita thought a second. “I guess it was a strange inclination that does not make sense. I suppose I should be leaving before, before, I don’t know what. Anyway. Before I go, may I ask you something?”

“Sure.”

“Would it be wrong if I were to try to visit Rachel at the Mental Institution?”

“Your visiting her might do her good, but I will have to talk to Mark about it.”

“Okay. Tabitha has my number.”

Rita said goodbye and walked to her small baby blue Volkswagen. She got in and drove off.

Arthur went inside the West Wing of his mansion, the Ramsey Mansion. He turned the lights on and peeped around. He guessed things seemed normal enough. He was getting ready to leave when he heard footsteps up in the attic room. The piano began to play.

“Who is up there?” Arthur called out. No one answered.

A door to beneath the staircase and to the basement squeaked as it slowly opened. A lit candle came through the door but no visible person was holding the candle. It appeared to be floating in the air.

The ghostly voice of a woman whispered, “Jossette is not on this side. Where is Jossette?”

Arthur asked, “Who are you?”

This Story is Not Free, Purchase For Your Kindle, $2.99

“I am Jossette’s Nanny Ogleby. Where is my granddaughter? I was at the hospital when she was announced dead, but I can’t find her. Where have you hidden her?”

Arthur said, “I have not hidden her. It grieves me to say this but she is dead. I’ve been told there are lots of places on your side. I don’t know where she went after she died. I am sure her soul is okay.”

“I need to find my granddaughter before he finds her.”

“Who?”

The music of the piano stopped. Nanny Ogleby whispered, “I must leave before he comes down stairs. He is a troubled soul he is.”

The lit candle vanished as though it had never been there. Arthur heard loud footsteps. He looked toward the top of the stairs and there he saw Artorius Ramsey, his grandfather. Arthur remembered the beatings he had received at the hands of Artorius.

Artorius asked, “Why did you give my mansion to that awful woman Rachel?”

Arthur said, “You asshole, why did you lose the mansion in a poker game?”

“I did not know everyone in the game was a witch and I wouldn’t be allowed to cheat.”

“You left father and me without a dime to our name.”

“Oh, poor pitiful you. I feel so sorry for you. I guess that you have forgotten how the damn evil Space Alien Witch Council had me burned at the stake.”

“I have not forgotten. Though all the beatings you gave me, I still love you. Though you left father and me poor as dirt, I still love you.”

“Well my bad luck at poker aside, it is not like you remained poor. You are rich as fuck now.”

“Indeed. I made my own fortune and I bought the mansion with my own money. It was my right to give the mansion to whoever the hell I wanted. I am not ashamed to say I loved Rachel. Hell. There is part of me who still loves her.”

Artorius laughed. “I made a man out of you. That is more than you have done for your son.”

“My son is more man than you think, though no thanks to you or me.” Arthur asked, “Why are you here? Is death not treating you right?”

“What did you do to Jossette?”

“Jossette is nothing to you. Why do you care? You were already dead before she was even born.”

“She was the reincarnation of your grandmother who I dearly loved.”

“The two of you barely even spoke as far as I can remember.”

“We said plenty in the bedroom. Now I repeat, where is Jossette? Where is my Sette?”

Arthur said, “Wait. So you are the witch…”

“I prefer warlock.”

“Who caused Rita and Rachel to try to kill Victor. It was you?”

“I deny that. Don’t you dare tell Jossette that. I will declare you to be the liar that you are. Besides, Victor did not die. Nanny Ogleby convinced me to spare him. The bitch.”

“You are unbelievable.”

“You used magic to bring Jossette back from the dead. Didn’t you?”

“No. You know that I am not that powerful. The Witches Council has my powers partially locked.”

“So you got someone to help you to bring her back from the dead?”

“I know death is not the end. You are not the first ghost who I have had a conversation with. Too many people saw her die.”

“I can’t find her on this side. I should be able to find her.”

“She is probably hiding from you. You were an abusive husband.”

“I never hit my wife.”

“The hell you didn’t. You would hit her just like you would hit me.”

“Maybe I should hit you now. Maybe I should make you tell me where Jossette is.

“I don’t know where she is. I would guess at times she checks on Victor and her brother Roger and her parents and the other people she loves. I am sure if you watch them she will show up.”

“That is odd. That is troubling.”

What Happened To Victor

Excerpt:

Rachel said, “He got away from us. Don’t you remember? He got away from us. You drove us to the rock quarry and I was going to give him a stern talking-to. And yes, I was going to try to scare him a little bit. But he got away from us. He ran away from us. He is probably safe at home now.” Rachel believed what she was saying and Rita could almost remember it.

Chapter 3

The past … 2015

Rachel opened the closet where Rita had locked Mark and Jossette.

“Where is Victor?” Jossette screamed. Naked, frantic, and angry she emerged from the closet. “We had decided to wait.” Jossette’s voice quivered. Then Jossette screamed, “You hurt Victor. Angry or not, how could you be so cruel? Aunt, I am so furious at you, but I still love you. Don’t you love me? Can’t you understand how much Victor means to me?” Seeing that her Aunt Rachel had no quick answers to either apologize or assure her that Victor was okay, “Jossette walked to grab up her clothes. In tears, she began to dress. “Such a nightmare.”

Mark repeated Jossette’s question. “Where is Victor?”

Rachel thought of the lie she was going to tell. “He got away from Rita and me. But I doubt either of you will ever enjoy him as a lover again. He will think twice before he attempts any future dalliance with either of you.”

Mark screamed at his mom. “How thick in the head are you, you crazy woman? Victor and I never had sex. I am not gay and neither is he. Victor loves Jossette.”

“And I love Victor. He is the love of my life. But we had decided to wait.”

In a rather strange uppity voice Rachel said, “Well. He ran. That is what he did. He ran. He got away from Rita and me. But he got a good spanking. Yes. He. Did. A good spanking. That is all that happened here tonight.”

“Where is Rita?”

Rachel said, “I don’t know.”

A strange wind blew through the room. An owl hooted and a dog howled. Alone Rita crumbled down on the bottom step of he stairs up to the attic room. She cried, “What have I done? Why did I do it? Rachel said it was my witchery but I am not a witch. Still, I felt it too. There was witchery. There was something that compelled our insanity.” Rita screamed, “Who are you that should want Victor dead? Who are you? What kind of witch are you that should compel such insanity?”

[contentcards url=”https://sayata.net/m/product/dvd-fighting-with-my-family/” target=”_blank”]

Rita ran up the stairs and into the attic room. “Rachel, we have to save Victor. We can’t let him die. But I can’t remember where we put him.”

There was witchery about. Rita was not wrong.

Rita cried. “I hear what you are saying. And I think I remember it. It is so weird to remember a lie as though it were real, but you know it is a lie. Don’t you? You know it is not real.”

Rachel stared at Rita. Rita hardly seemed to be the same person who had brought her to the attic to find Victor and Jossette together. Rachel’s mind was foggy. Still, she remembered how she and Rita had put Victor, naked, into the boot of Victor’s car.

Rachel swooned. She moaned. “I don’t understand this. What kind of witch are you Rita that you could do this to me? Have you given me a drug?” Then Rachel looked at Jossette and Mark. It was as if they were frozen. “Have you drugged all of us?”

Rita screamed. “I don’t understand any of this. I am desperately trying to hold on to my thoughts and my memories.”

Rachel said, “You did this. You are doing this. What kind of witch are you?”

Rita screamed, “I am not a witch but I think there is a witch. I don’t know. I think I have been under some kind of spell. I don’t hate Victor. Truly, the real me never wanted Victor dead. I do not want Victor dead.” Rita stared at the frozen Mark and Jossette. “What is wrong with them.” Rita touched Jossette’s face. She touched Mark’s face. “They are frozen. They are cold as ice. Oh, God, please don’t let them be dead.”

Rachel touched Mark and Jossette. “What is happening?”

Rita fell to her knees. She banged her head to the floor. “I don’t know. I don’t know. I just know that I do not want Victor to die. I do not want anyone to die.”

Rachel said, “We must all go to bed. We must crawl into our beds and when we wake in the morning this will not have happened. This is just a dream. Just a dream. Just a dream.”

Rachel walked to leave the attic room. Jossette followed with her arms and hands suddenly out in front of her. She looked as though she were sleep walking. Mark lifted his arms in front of him and followed in similar fashion.

But Rita fought the urge. She banged her head against the floor. Then she jumped from the floor and she ran to Rachel who was at the bottom of the steps and appeared confused. Jossette and Mark exited the West Wing of the Ramsey Mansion to go to the main house and to get into bed.

At the foot of the stairs Rachel had begun to spin around. Rita grabbed her and pulled her to her knees so they both knelt. Rita whispered to Rachel, “We must fight the witch. There is a witch about. We must fight them as we should have fought them before we hurt Victor. We must save Victor.

Rachel whispered back to Rita. “But who is the witch that should have wanted this day. Are you sure that you aren’t the witch?”

“There is a witch but I do not know who. I swear, I am not the witch.”

What Happened To Victor

Excerpt:

Rachel tearfully looked down at her victim and realized a sympathy for him that she might never again feel for Rita, her accomplice. Rachel thought of Jossette. “My niece, my beloved niece. I love you and yet I do this cruelty to the love of your life. Victor, I am sorry.” Rachel shook her head and stared a look of contempt and damnation at Rita. “This deed I do this day I know will be my undoing. What power is it that you have that I feel commanded to do this even as I already regret this.” As she continued to stare angrily at Rita, Rachel slammed the boot closed. “For this insanity, this murder you have plotted, for this that you have made me your accomplice, your weapon, I will hate you. I personally will feed you to the alligators.”

Chapter 2

The past … 2015

Victor felt himself being tossed into the boot of a car. Rita threw his clothes and shoes on top of his lap, groin, area. He managed to open his eyes and realized they were putting him in his own car. He solemnly fixed his helpless eyes to stare into the eyes of Rachel and she stared back as if to see into his very soul. Then she looked at Rita and the devilish grin on Rita’s face.

Rachel looked up toward the blue sky and imagined high above her the golden gates to heaven itself. She imagined Saint Peter looking down at her and putting rusted chained padlocks around the glowing gold bars to lock the gates from her. She said, “We should not do this.”

Rita’s eyes widened. The white of her eyes became large with the words and the pitiful, regretful sound of Rachel’s voice revealing her lack of resolve. Rachel stared into Rita’s scary eyes and for a moment felt woke from that which had led her to this moment. “We have been bewitched.”

“Bewitched. Hell.” In a threatening voice Rita said, “Maybe you would like to crawl into the boot of the car with Victor.”

Feeling a sickness in the pit of her stomach as she realized the insanity of the path on which Rita had led her, Rachel reached down deep into the depths of her soul for a strength to sound a bluster in her voice. “Maybe you would like for my husband to put your sorry ass in a south Georgia swamp filled with alligators. Do not forget who I am. Do not forget who my husband is.”

Rita smiled. “If it is within you to kill me–and I pray it is–then it is within you to kill Victor.” Rita argued, “Victor is evil. You can see it in his eyes. He turned Mark into a homosexual. Victor is like a Vampire commanding his bite victim to submit to his will, to hunger for that huge cock of his. And still Victor fancied it would be nice to fuck Jossette with that big cock. We need to do the world this favor. We need to rid this world of Victor Duddley.”

I personally will feed you to the alligators.”

Rita laughed. “No alligator is going to eat me for my vagina is too bitter in its frigidity. No alligator is going to eat me for my heart is too cold and the alligator should want the warmth of the sun. No bitch. No alligator is going to want to eat me any more than there is any man who should want to love me. Now this is going to be our plan. We are going to drive Victor to Dick’s Junkyard. Such a fitting name to be Victor’s last resting place. There is a section where no one ever goes for parts or anything. There, the discarded vehicles are all rusted out. Some of the vehicles have a jungle growing through the broken windows and open doors. No one will find Victor there.”

[contentcards url=”https://sayata.net/m/product/virgins-of-sherwood-forest/” target=”_blank”]

“I guess I have no choice now. Your witchery is too strong and my will is too weak”

Rita got under the steering wheel of Victor’s car. She cranked the car as Rachel stood at the passenger door. Rachel sniffed back tears as her shaking hand opened the door. She crawled into Victor’s car and smelled the scent of the balsam pine that he used as an air freshener. “The smell of his car makes me think of Christmas.”

“I know. I hate that. And one of his favorite songs is ‘Amazing Grace’ sung by Judy Collins. That in itself is enough to make me want to kill him. Imagine hearing that shit when you are on a date and wanting to think naughty thoughts.”

“I love the sound of Judy Collins’ voice.”

“Do you want me to hate you?”

Rita drove them to a narrow dirt road that was rough from rains. Sections of the road stood high above a deep, abandoned rock quarry. Rita stopped the car. She opened a gate to a path that barely would qualify as even a driveway. She got back in Victor’s car and bouncing, drove the car to the section of the junkyard that she had told Rachel about. She drove Victor to where a rusted out Lincoln Town Car Limousine had been dumped years previously. The top of the car was smashed down with the windows crushed. The front of the car had deep dents. But the boot was still intact.

Rita said, “We are going to move him from the boot of his car to the boot of that limousine and lock him there.”

Rachel asked, “And how pray tell do you plan to open the boot and then lock the boot.”

Rita opened her brown pocketbook and she pulled out some locksmith tools. With very little trouble she popped the boot of the car open. Neither Rita nor Rachel saw the shadowy figure of a ghost lurking off to the side of a wrecked semi and trailer. The shadowy ghost, Willy Doomis, hid behind some bushes and held a sword in one hand and a pistol in the other. He wondered to himself, “What are those two up to this day, soon to be night.” Willy knew Rachel Ogleby Ramsey. He knew Rita Angster, the daughter of Rosanne Angster and Judah Zacahry Angster. He figured from their auras that they were up to no good.

Willy sensed another ghost about but he could not see the ghost. At first he was not sure who the ghost might be but then he figured he knew. “Oh my God.”

Rita took a key and inserted it into the boot of Victor’s car.

Rachel said, “If he is conscious he is going to fight us. He might get away for real.”

“I can handle Victor. He is not so tough.” Rita opened the boot. She saw Victor’s eyes were closed. “He is unconscious. Perhaps dead. Help me move him.”

[contentcards url=”https://sayata.net/m/product/dvd-fighting-with-my-family/” target=”_blank”]

Willy Doomis watched. “A body? This is not good.” Willy screamed into the ether, “If you are dead, where are you. Show yourself to me.” No one appeared to Willy. He did not see the ghost of Victor and he did not see the other ghost.

Rita and Rachel moved Victor from the boot of his car to the boot of the wrecked limousine. Rita locked the boot. She and Rachel got into Victor’s car and quickly drove off.

The ghost of Willy Doomis walked to the boot of the car. He stuck his ghostly head through the boot and looked at Victor. “You aren’t dead. Not yet.” Willy crawled into the boot with Victor. He hugged on Victor. “You know, being a ghost isn’t so bad. When you join me on this side, we will have some fun.”

What Happened To Victor

Excerpt:

Jossette looked down at Victor’s huge cock. Her eyes widened. Victor saw in her face the appearance of terror as she looked at it.

“It is so huge.”

Victor said, “We will not do this today. You are not ready. I am not ready.”

Jossette’s expression turned to that of relief. She whispered, “I am sorry.”

“There is no reason to be. My slutty Jane will take care of this funny business later. (Jane was a reference to his right hand and masturbation.) But I will think of you. I will think of you standing here. I will think of the love in your eyes. I will always think of you, for I love you.”

Chapter 1

The past … 2015

Nervously, Victor and Jossette stood together at the piano in the attic room, face to face, naked. Their eyes sparkled with love. Their hearts pounded in anticipation.

Just as Jossette and Victor were about to get dressed, Rita with Rachel barged though the beaded curtain into the attic room. Rachel had a big black belt in one hand and a rifle in the other hand. Rita carried a baseball bat for Rachel. Rita had a large brown pocketbook with long straps draped across her neck and shoulders and hanging down to her hip.

Rachel screamed, “You son a bitch. I knew you were no good. Fucking with my boy and now with my niece. I will kill you. I will kill you, you son of a bitch.”

Rachel took the butt of her shotgun and knocked Victor in the mouth with it.

Victor formed two fist and showed his fist in a stance fitting for a boxer. “I don’t want to hurt you.” Victor, with a splatter of blood dripping from his mouth, stared at Mark who seemed to appear out of no where. Victor wasn’t sure what to say to Mark.

Rita laughed. “You hurt her? What a joke! She has a shot gun that I loaded it for her.”

Mark took Victor’s hand that Victor still held up as a fist. “You need to get out of here.”

Rita struck Mark in the stomach with the baseball bat. The bat popped Mark’s cellphone from his pocket as Rita pulled it back from his stomach. The phone flew across the room. His hand flung away from Victor’s hand. He grabbed his stomach with both hands and stumbled backwards with his mouth open in a grimace of pain. Rachel gave Rita the shotgun. “Don’t you shoot my boy.” Rachel took the baseball bat but it was the belt she began to use. She hit Victor in the butt. She struck the belt across his cock. She struck the belt across his stomach repeatedly.

Victor grabbed the belt and began trying to pull it away from Rachel. Rita cocked the rifle and pointed it at Victor’s head. Rita screamed, “I will shoot you. Let go of the belt.”

Rachel yanked the belt out of Victor’s hand. Again, she began to strike Victor. Jossette grabbed the belt. She screamed, “Aunt. Stop. Nothing happened. Nothing was going to happen. Stop.”

Mark grabbed his mom. “Stop. You are crazy on drugs right now. Stop.”

Rita screamed, “I will shoot Victor. I will shoot them. You two back off.”

Naked, bleeding, in pain, Victor took off running. He went through the beaded curtain and began down the top staircase. Rachel knocked Jossette and Mark away from her. She took off after Victor. “You horny son of a bitch, you will not get away from me. I will kill you.”

Jossette and Mark screamed, “Victor, run. Run. Get the hell out of here. She is crazy.”

Rita used the rifle to begin trying to force Jossette and Mark into a closet. She poked them with the rifle.

Mark said, “You don’t know what you are doing. The rifle could go off by accident. You don’t want to kill us.”

“Maybe I do. Maybe I don’t. But keep trying me and you will find out.”

Mark began fighting to get the rifle away from Rita. He said, “Damn. She is strong. She is not normally this strong. Her strength is weird.”

Jossette also fought to free the rifle from Rita’s hands. Still, dodging Rita’s pokes and aiming of the rifle, they backed into the empty closet. Rita jumped back out of the closet and slammed the door closed with Jossette and Mark inside of it. She turned a skeleton key in the door to lock it.

The split second click, click, sound of the lock’s tumbler was an eerie sound, The feel of the doorknob in Jossette’s hand suddenly became stuck, frozen. Jossette sank as she released the doorknob. “I can’t turn it. We can’t save Victor.”

Mark tried to turn the doorknob. He reached for his cellphone that had been in his pocket. “Where is my phone? I know I had it.”

Jossette said, “It flew across the room when Rita hit you in the stomach.” I am still naked so I don’t have my phone either.”

“Fuck.”

Rita heard them talking. She laughed. “We are going to kill Victor and there is not a thing the two of you can do about it.”

Mark said, “You will go to prison.”

“Neither of you will talk to the police. Mark, your father runs a crime syndicate. If you even think about talking to the police we will say it was you and your father who killed Victor. Who do think the police would want to put in prison more, little innocent me or your gangster father.”

Rita grabbed Victor’s clothes and shoes off of the attic room floor. Holding the rifle and Victor’s things, Rita ran to reach Rachel and Victor.

Rachel caught up with Victor on the second flight of stairs. She began to hit him with the baseball bat. He fell. He tumbled. He rolled to the base of the staircase. Rita ran down the stairs and to where Rachel stood over Victor who was unconscious.

Rachel said, “Help me to get him up. We will carry him and put him in the boot of his car. I don’t want to kill him here.”

Rita nodded. She adjusted her brown pocketbook that hung around her neck. She pulled his keys from his pants pocket and put them in the pocket of her pants. She threw Victor’s clothes on top of him and propped the rifle up against the wall as Rachel walked to open the door to outside. Together they picked Victor up, swinging his limp body between them as they carried him out the door.

Rita said, “If we kill Victor, Mark and Jossette will talk. I told them we would frame Mark and your x-husband if they even think about talking to the law.”

“If we even tried that, Arthur would kill us. It would not work anyway. We have to hide Victor’s body so that it is not found. Then we have to convince Mark and Jossette that Victor got away from us. We will have to create convincing evidence that he ran away. We will not be able to deny the fight. I caught Victor about to fuck Jossette so I don’t have a reason to deny the fight. But we must say that he got away from me.”

Rita nodded. “Okay.”

Hearthville Serial: No Condoms – Chapter Eight

Excerpt:

Victor sat down on a bench at the piano.  He played chopsticks with his nose.

Rita reached the top of the second staircase. With a careful hand Rita eased the beaded curtain separated enough where she could spy.  Then she eased her hand away, afraid they might notice her.  She listened.

Jossette teased, “You play beautifully with your nose.”  Jossette sat down on the bench next to Victor.  “Do you remember that Doris Day movie ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’ with Jimmy Stewart?  Do you remember that song Que Sera, Sera, Whatever Will Be, Will Be?”

Chapter 8

The past … 2015

Victor and Jossette walked around to the West Wing.  Roger and Stewart were on their way to the beach. Roger called out to Victor and Jossette, “We are going swimming.  Do you want to come with us?”

Victor yelled.  “Later.”

Stewart yelled.  “We may get up a volleyball game later.”

Victor yelled.  “I hate volleyball.”

Stewart laughed.  “I know. I figured that you would cancel the later when you heard that we would be playing volleyball.”

Victor screamed, “You are an ass.”

Rita looked out a window that faced toward the walkway to the beach and also toward the door of the West Wing.  She saw Victor and Jossette.  She saw Roger and Stewart.

Tabitha walked up to the window to see what Rita was seeing.  Tabitha said, “Victor and Jossette are a beautiful couple.”

Rita rolled her eyes.  “Victor and Jossette are a doomed couple.  They just don’t know it yet.”  Rita walked toward the outside door.

“Where are you going?”

“Mischief.  Do you want to come with me?”

“No.  I am going to the kitchen to see what mom is cooking.  Then after that, I will probably go get a book for me to read.”

“Suit yourself.”  Rita stepped outside.  Quietly, she closed the door behind her.  She darted behind some bushes.  She sneaked toward the front door of the West Wing.

Jossette and Victor walked up to the door to the West Wing.  Jossette put her aunt’s key into the lock.  Her hand trembled as she turned the key.

Victor noticed.  “Your hand is shaking.  Why?”

“I’ve already been up into the attic room where the piano is.  It is a beautiful piano.  And there is a bed in the room.  And candles.  It is romantic up there.”

Jossette opened the door.  “It is a beautiful place for our first time together.  I want us to have sex.”

“I thought you wanted to wait.”

“I’ve changed my mind.  I am tired of being a virgin.  And you know we will always be together.  Our love is the same as if we were married.  I want to feel you in my arms the way a woman should feel a man.  I want to feel that passion that leads to sex, that is sex that will lead us to being as one.  I want to be one with you in every possible way.”

Victor said, “I am not prepared.  I don’t have any condoms with me.”

“My period has just ended so even if you slip up and don’t pull out in time we should be safe.”

“I masturbated this morning.”

“So you don’t think you will be able to get hard.”

“Oh.  I will get hard.  I am already getting hard.  But I need to be sure to piss to flush all the sperm from my urethra so it will not be flushed out by my precum.”

“Precum?”

“Yeah.  I get really wet with precum when I am horny.  It only contains sperm if it is flushing out the sperm from a previous sex session.  Peeing will do the same thing in a faster way.”

Victor and Jossette stepped into the West Wing.  “I am not sure where a bathroom is in this part of the mansion.”

Victor looked about.  Other than a few chairs and boxes with canvas draped over them the room was empty.  The room was dark except for light filtering in through the partially opened curtains.  Still Victor could see several doors.

Victor opened one door.  It was a closet.  He opened another door.  It led to an empty library room.  “This is like an entirely separate mansion here; a haunted mansion.”

“When Uncle Arthur lived here with Aunt Rachel, he used this part of the mansion for business meetings and such.”

“So there is probably an office and a bathroom off the office.”  Victor thought a second.  He walked to another door.  There was a light switch next to that door and he flipped it.  A chandelier in the center of the ceiling lit up.  Victor opened the door.  “Yes, this looks like a suite of offices.”  Victor pointed.  “I bet that is a restroom.  Right there.”  Victor opened the door to see a toilet.  “Oh yeah.  I found a commode.”  Victor went inside and  closed the door.

As Victor closed the door Jossette thought,  “We are about to have sex and he does not want me to see him pee.  I guess that is normal.”

Victor came out of the bathroom.  They left the suite of offices and started up the stairs.  At the top of the stairs Victor turned and looked back down the stairs.  “That would be a long way to fall.”

Jossette took Victor by the hand and together they walked along the balcony to yet another flight of stairs.  “This goes up to the attic room where the piano is.”

Rita quietly cracked open the door to the West Wing.  She spied about to make sure Victor and Jossette were not where they could see her.  She opened the door and sneaked inside.  All so carefully, looking like a skilled creeper, she closed the door.  She crept toward the staircase and on her tippy toes she began to ascend the steps.

Victor and Jossette entered the attic.  There was no door to the room at the top of the second staircase but a thick beaded and cut cloth curtain where a door might have been between the walls.  Jossette picked up a lighter and began lighting candles.  There was one on the piano, a couple on a mantle piece, and there was one on each bed stand next to the old waterbed that was still filled with water.

“I hated that movie.  I hate that song.  Stewart loved it though.  I swear he cried during that song.”

Jossette said, “Roger is the one who first got me to watch it.  He liked it also.  And I liked it.  What didn’t you like about it?”

“I don’t know.  The movie did not impress me. All movies have some errors but the errors in that movie irritate me.”

“For example.”

“After Dr. McKenna tells his wife Jo about Hank being missing, she begins to fall asleep and the shadow of the boom mic falls on the wall behind Dr. McKenna’s head.”

“I didn’t notice. So you don’t know how to play the song because the shadow of a boom mic pissed you off?”

“I can’t play the piano.  What gave you the idea that I can play the piano?”  Victor was teasing.  He knew that Jossette had seen him tickle the ivories more than once at church.

“You just played chopsticks with your nose.”

“I learned that from a bird at the fair.  The bird didn’t teach me Que Sera, Sera.”

“I have heard you play the piano at church with your mom.”

“I know.” Victor whispered, “I thought we were going to have sex?”  He kissed Jossette on the side of her face.  “Have you changed your mind.”

Jossette said, “Maybe.  Don’t laugh.”

“Okay.”

“I know how big your cock is.  I am scared of it.”

“I’ve seen porn where women handle cocks as big as my cock.  They seem to enjoy  it inside of them.”

“Will you be gentle?”

“No.  I am planning on being like an ape at the zoo pounding my chest and roughly taking you like no woman has ever been taken before.”  Victor laughed.  “Of course I intend to be gentle.”

“Don’t make fun of me.  I am nervous.  I am scared.”

“Then we probably should wait.”  Victor began playing Que Sera, Sera on the piano.

“You do know it.”

“Yeah.  I do know it.  Just go on and call me gay.  Your Aunt Rachel already has.”

“Yes, My aunt and Rita think you are.  Rita thinks you and Mark are lovers.”

“Is that what this is about?  Do you want to make sure that I sexually desire you.”

“Actually, I want to make sure that I can handle a cock as big as yours  because when I saw the picture of it that Rita showed me, the sight of your cock scared the hell out of me.”

“Do you want to see it in person?  Do you want to touch it?  I will introduce you to George if you would like.”

“You call your dick George?”

“Yes, I named my dick after George of the Jungle. What have you named your vagina?”

“My vagina has no nom de plume.”

“Oh my God, we can not have sex until you name your vagina.  I think it is a law.”

“Did you go to the court house and tell them how you want to register the name of your penis?”

“I filled out the paperwork and everything.  So what should be the epithet of your vagina?”

“I am not sure.  Naming my vagina is such an important thing.  Should we call my vagina Ursula or Brendan or something else.”

“Well, not Brendan.  I don’t want to look at your vagina and picture the actor Brendan Fraser.  That would be both unsettling and prove your aunt’s notion, questioning my sexuality. “

“Okay. Ursula.  My vagina’s name is Ursula.  Does that name make you happy?”

“It does.  It pleases George very much. So, do you want to meet George as much as I want to meet Ursula?”

“Yes.  You take off your clothes and I will take off my clothes. We may or may not have sex.  I have not decided yet.”

“Fair enough.  But I must warn you that if Ursula does not want to have sex with George then George may have sex with Jane.”

“Who is Jane?”

“My right hand.  George likes to cheat with Tarzan’s girlfriend.”

“You are so weird.”

“That is the reason you love me.”

“I do love you.  I love you so much that it sometimes scares me.”

“So it is not just George who scares you?”

“I am terrified that I might lose you.  I am terrified that you might stop loving me.”

“I will never stop loving you.  No matter what, I will always love you.”

Jossette began to undress.  Victor began to undress.

Hearthville Serial: No Condoms – Chapter Seven

Excerpt:

“Okay genius, marry yourself a gay dude and endure the heartache that will bring.  You wouldn’t buy a mattress that you have not laid on, why would you marry a dude that you have not yet laid.”

“I trust Victor loves me the way that I love him.”

“Trust but verify.  Seduce him.  Seduce him good.  If you can, that is.”

Jossette left Rita’s room.  “His cock is so huge.  She must have photoshopped that picture.  He can’t be that large.”

Chapter 7

The past … 2015

Jossette stepped into Rita and Tabitha’s bedroom.  It was a large room with two sets of full sized beds, two couches, two chairs, and two desk each with a desktop computer on them.

Tabitha’s bed was an iron post bed painted a gold color.  It had burgundy curtains that could be pulled in an outer area around it so that her closet and the set of chest of drawers were in the privacy area.

Excerpt:

Everyone left Rachel’s room.  She was left there alone except for Rita who had crept up to the door after the others had left. She didn’t go into Rachel’s room but closed the door except for a crack where she could watch Rachel.  Rachel stood up from her bed and looked into the mirror of the dresser as she walked toward it.  Then she pulled the naked pictures of Victor and Mark from the drawer. “I hate you Victor so much.  You and your big dick.  You have everyone fooled but you don’t have me fooled.  If I catch you fucking with my son or my niece, then I will kill you.  I will kill you good.  I will not let you ruin their lives.”

Chapter 6

The past … 2015

Rachel lay in bed with a bottle of liquor and a bottle of pills on her bed stand.  Rosanne came into her room.

Rosanne said, “Terence has kicked Lawrence out.  He has an outstanding job offer that he has decided to take.  He is moving to Savannah.  He seems content with the change.  He said he was already tired of Terence lauding her new found wealth over him anyway.  He wasn’t going to become Mister Terence.”

“I talked to him.  He seems satisfied that divorce is right for both himself and Terence, though I think he is trying to hide how heart broken he is.”

Rosanne said, “Probably.  Here is the thing.  He is going to be running the Canon Ball Campground and Trailer Park in Savannah.  He has asked me to work for him so he can spend more time with Tabitha.”

“What about Jossette and Roger?  Will they be moving to Savannah?”

“They will visit their father.  Terence has said that Tabitha is always welcome to visit Jossette and Roger.  She says she fully plans to treat Tabitha as a stepdaughter even though she and Lawrence will be divorced.”

Rachel said, “Terence is not a bad person.”

“No she is not.  The short affair Lawrence and I had was not planned.  Honestly, it wasn’t.  It just happened.  I am sorry that Terence was hurt.  I know that my moving to Savannah for Tabitha to be near Lawrence does not look right. People will think that it is I who wants to be near him. People will judge me badly.  But I don’t want Tabitha to go to Savannah without me.”

“You and I have been together for so long it is hard to believe this day has come.  I will miss you.  I love you.”

Rosanne smiled. “I love you as well.  And I say this with love.  You need to sober up before you do something even more crazy than accusing Mark of being gay and threatening your relationship with him.  He did not deserve that and I am so sorry that Rita instigated that.”

Rachel ignored Rosanne’s advice and her apology for Rita. “Will you visit me?  You and the girls.”

“You would actually want Rita to visit you.”

“Yes.”

Rosanne sat down on the side of Rachel’s bed.  She took her hand.  “Please sober up.  I beg you.”

“I will.”

“Sure you will.”

Roger and Jossette came into Rachel’s bedroom.  Rosanne stood up from the bed.

Jossette said, “Things have changed so fast.  It is unbelievable. Just two days ago mom and dad were so happy and now they are planning to divorce.  Dad is going to move to Savannah and we will be moving to Atlanta without him.”  Jossette held back her tears.”

“I know dear.  I talked to your father and Rosanne was just talking about it to me.  I am very sorry Lawrence and Terence could not work things out.”

Roger asked, “Is it okay if we stay here for the next couple of weeks?  The Atlanta mansion is not ready and dad needs the trailer in Savannah.  He is not rich like mom.”

Rachel nodded.  “Sure.”  Rachel thought a second.  “Paps was never rich.  Your father and I come from very modest means.  When I ran away to be with Arthur, Arthur and I were so poor then that we ate left overs thrown out of restaurants.  We ate out of garbage cans.  Lawrence has been that poor as well. Terence also.  But we were proud.  Don’t ever be ashamed of your father. Don’t ever be ashamed of having lived at the Hearthville Lake View Trailer Park.”

Roger said, “I will never be ashamed of my parents or where I come from.  You do not have to worry about that.”

Mark came into the room to hear what his mom was saying.  “I love that Trailer Park.  We had as many good times there as we did at this mansion.  I met Victor there when he was visiting Jossette.  He got me to going to the park with him.  God, all of us had some good times.”

Rosanne said, “The good times are not over.  Change is part of life.  It does not mean the good times are over.”

Mark said, “But I feel like they are.  I feel like I am in the middle of a storm that is growing and there is something even more awful on the horizon. Do you ever feel like that?”

Victor came into the room.  “When you feel like that, you must always trust in God.  You must trust in his love.”

Jossette took Victors hand.  With a smile, she held it tight.

Rachel burped.  “What a crock of shit.  Not all of us are born to charmed lives.  Some of us have to dig and claw for everything we get in this life.  We can’t trust in anything.  It is hard enough to even trust in ourselves as we face one storm after another.”

Rosanne said, “It would not hurt you to trust more in God and less in that bottle of booze and those pills you keep downing.”

Rachel smiled.  “Sure.  Whatever.  So Rosanne, when will you be leaving me.”

“I am giving you two weeks notice.  I can interview a new cook for you or you can interview one for yourself.”

“We can do it together.”

“Fine.”

Rita smiled.  She closed the door the rest of the way shut.

Rita went to  the guest bedroom where Jossette would be staying.  Jossette was unpacking her suitcase.   Rita didn’t knock but barged in on Jossette.  Jossette smiled as if she didn’t mind.  “Rita, how are you?”

“I guess Victor told you what I did.”

“Yes.  Mark and Victor told me why you and Mark are no longer dating.  I am sorry.”

“Are you really?”

“Sure.  I enjoyed when we double dated.”

“I guess.  But didn’t it sometimes feel like we were the third wheels on Mark and Victor’s date?  Have you never wondered if they are lovers?”

“No.”

“Have you and Victor ever had sex?”

“No, we aren’t ready for that.”

“Do you ever have thoughts of having sex with Victor?”

“Sure.  When the time is right.  I imagine Victor will be a sweet, gentle lover.”

“Have you ever seen Victor naked?”

“No.”

“Have you ever seen any boy naked?”

“No.”

“I have pictures of Mark and Victor skinny dipping together.  Do you want to see the pictures?”

Jossette thought a second.  She rolled her eyes back and forth.  She wrinkled her nose and giggled. “Maybe.”

Victor walked into what would be Jossette’s bedroom during the next couple of weeks.  He did not much like seeing Rita there with Jossette but he didn’t say anything that could be taken as rude.

Victor said, “Roger is coming with your last bag.”

“Okay.  Where is Stewart?”

“Avoiding work.”  Victor laughed.  “No. He left his football in the West Wing when Mark, he, and I were getting some old Limoges Dinnerware from storage that Ms. Rachel wanted to give your mom as a house warming gift.”

“Nice.  Limoges is expensive.”

Rita said, “It is not like Terence can afford to buy her own China for her mansion.”

Victor gave Rita a look and made a raspberry sound. Then he leaned in toward Jossette and handed her a tan, lace bra from her suitcase. He stared at the bra in Jossette’s hand for a second and said, “While in the West Wing, which is somewhat isolated from the rest of the mansion, Mark told me there is an old piano there. Rachel, nor anyone, much goes to that part of this mansion.  The piano is there, up in an attic room.  Mark said he is sure that Rachel would not mind you moving the piano to where you will be living.”

Rita said, “I wish I was rich so that people would give me free stuff.”

“I will check it out.”

Rita said, “I’ve seen it.  It is a beautiful piano.  I mean, it is an antique.  It may need some work on it but I like it.”

Victor noticed how nice Rita was talking with Jossette. He wondered if she was up to something.  But he figured it was possible she was just being nice.

Rita said, “I’ve been living in this mansion and the expensive apartment in Atlanta with Rachel.  Now I am going to be living in a trailer park and you will be living in a mansion.  Life is strange.”

Jossette said, “Roger and I will be visiting our father quite a bit and seeing you and Tabitha as well.  Tabitha will be our sister just as she is your sister.  I hope we can all be friends.”

Rita said, “Sure.  Friends.”  There was only a slight hint of resentment in her voice.

Victor said, “I have to get home.  I will see you tomorrow and we will look at that piano.”

“Okay.”  Jossette kissed Victor on the side of his face.

Victor kissed Jossette on her forehead.  “I love you.”

“Love you.”

Victor left.

Rita said,  “Come on down to my room.  I will show you the pictures of Victor and Mark naked.”
