Dioson and his ghost brother Hannibal vanished.
Victor, Deven, Leroy, Constance remained. The ghost Nanny Ogleby also remained but she remained invisible.
Leroy said, “I was ready to fight him.”
Victor nodded. George whispered, “Now remember, you are in a dream. This is not real.”
Victor said, “He and his brother killed Donny Maxtone. I was ready to fight him as well.”
Deven nodded. “Revenge would have been sweet but would our victory have been as certain as Hannibal told Dioson.”
Holding her sword Constance walked toward the wall. “Damn straight I would have killed Dioson. Leroy might not be much but he is my son and I will protect him.”
Leroy said, “Isn’t such respect from your mom a wonderful thing.”
Deven grinned. “Moms. No matter what, you have to love them.”
Constance asked, “How is Mable?” Constance plucked some roses from the wall to reveal a large lock in the wall, not the gates. The large lock was at the end of the carving of the large spear held by Iapetus.
Deven said, “She is good. By the way, where the hell are we?”
Constance said, “If I am not mistaken we are at the entrance way to Iapetus, not the minor one built in the outlands, but the original one. This is the one the Space Alien witches locked when they helped Zeus to defeat his father and uncle and the rest of the Titans.”
Leroy asked, “Is Zeus real?”
Constance turned and looked at her son. “He is real but the Space Alien Witches turned against him as well.”
Deven asked, “How does the one true God figure in with the lesser gods? I’ve never fully understood.”
Constance said, “The true God is this world itself. When the ancient ones came out of the void they created God as God created them. It is a digital system. It is computer like. The true God can appear as one or he can appear as many. He knows everything for he is the system. Now Lucifer created a secondary system but it is within this system so even though Lucifer was rebelling against God, through his system, he remained part of God and God remained part of him. And that is true of all the angels and the lesser gods and we as well. We are all connected even as we rebel to be separate. The wars between us are also the wars inside of us.”
Leroy asked, “And the Space Alien Witches?”
Constance said, “It is all one world and one system but there are divisions within it. That is what Hera taught me when I studied under her. Of course what I was taught could all be bullshit.”
Victor asked, “How did we end up here. Dioson?”
Constance said, “No. The system brought us here. We were brought here for a reason but to what that reason is, I have no idea. It is a cool place though. And a place the angels normally keep locked from visitors or so I have been told. So if true, that raises the question why the angels allowed us to come here.”
Deven said, “Maybe they brought us here.”
Constance agreed. “Maybe they did. But why?”
Victor said, “Maybe it is a place we can now return to in our dreams and meet in our vigils and come up with plans to make the world a better place. In my dreams sometimes I go to the Great Pyramid. It is a wonderful place where great lectures are given. It is a place where we can access memories the Space Alien Witches have locked from us, that is if the angels allow.”
Constance said, “I’ve heard of the Great Pyramid located inside the ghost of Atlantis but the angels have never allowed me to visit there. That you have been allowed there is a testament to you.” Constance thought a second. “Wouldn’t that be grand if we could make this a gathering place where great souls might want to come and the angels would allow them to come.”
Leroy said, “But we aren’t Victor. We aren’t allowed to visit the Great Pyramid. So why were we brought here? And perhaps the greater question is, can we leave here?”
Hannibal and Dioson reappeared. “The answer to that question is, we have tried and we can’t leave.”
