Chapter / Episode List of the Heathville Serial

Elliot pushes buttons. He enters data. He runs his fingers through his hair. And then he turns. He sees Arthur Ramsey. He sees Jossette. He sees Joesion. He sees Barnabus. And his gut aches. He feels an impending sense of doom.

Suddenly. There it is. The engines fire. The motor revs. The sound is loud. Is this a spaceship or a muscle car. No. He is flying the tanker his son Victor stole from Sabian Blackrock when Victor was ten.

Elliot’s scream sounds insane but he no longer feels impending doom. If Elliot has gone insane, his insanity is driven by the feeling of pure pleasure. The sound of his pleasure might be confused with the sound of an orgasm. The expression on his face is twisted and distorted as he takes takes flight. And he remembers those days when he wasn’t such a god damn pussy.

Jossette moans. “Elliot is going to crash this ship and kill himself.”

Arthur stares at Jossette and pictures when she was his grandmother Nette. “Now I remember why we didn’t get along. Always such a killjoy.”

Barnabus grins a rather weird grin. “Exactly what does Elliot think he is doing?”

“I am going to rescue my son. Buckle up bitches cause we are going for a ride straight through the fires of hell and into the Outlands.”

“Grandson,” Jossette cried. “Don’t let this mad man fly me to hell.”

Joesion looks through monitors and appears to be studying the data. “I see what he did. I am pretty sure I can take over and fly this bitch now. If you want to send Elliot home so we can take control of this mission. I can now fly this ship.”

Elliot laughs. “If Sabian has the Outlands back under lock and key, you can’t fly this ship to the Outlands without flying through the fires of hell, you crazy sons’ of stupid.”

Arthur stares at Joesion. “Has Sabian locked the Outlands before?”

Joesion shakes his head. “I don’t know.”

Barnabus stares at Jossette (Nette) and sees the fear in her eyes. Her lips have a slight tremble. “We need to send Elliot…” Jossette pauses. “We need to send Elliot home. If we let anything happen to him, Victor will never forgive us.” Those were her words but Arthur sensed there was something else behind her words. Arthur romances that he loves his grandmother and her as his niece, and yet he feels a suspicion for he does remember her strange, strange, strange ways.”

“Joesion, you might can fly the tanker. I will not argue that. I hope you can for Elliot may need your help. But can you fly it through the fires of hell.”

Jossette says, “Sabian does not fly these tankers through the fires of hell. Satan would never allow it. There is magic that bypasses the locks. This ship will bypass the locks.”

Elliot stares at Jossette (Nette.) He grins. It is nearly an evil grin. And he does mean to frighten her. “Bitch, you don’t have a fucking clue.” Then he turns to Arthur. “Get Quentin on the god damn radio. I need to talk to him.”

Jossette screams, “Send Elliot home. Send him home now. He is going to get us all caged.”

“Bitch. I am so fucking tired of you.” Elliot snaps his fingers and a magic wand appears. Suddenly Jossette and Barnabus are caged in a magical bird cage. “Yeah. You two seriously needed a time out.”

Arthur feels confused at how much Elliot appears to hate Jossette. He remembers how Elliot had taken Victor to see Jossette when Jossette was dying. He remembers that Elliot took Victor to Jossette’s funeral. But that Elliot probably didn’t know stuff. His memory had already been altered although Arthur had no idea regarding the details of that. He did not know that Elliot ever worked high up in Quentin’s Organization. This Elliot seems to know stuff. What does he know?

Arthur asks, “Why do you dislike Jossette so much?”

“I do not dislike Jossette. I dislike Nette.”

“But they are the same.”

“Are they?”

“Artorious always said that Jossette is the reincarnation of Nette.”

“Yeah, Artorous is really a brilliant man. Isn’t he?”

“I don’t understand.”

“Arthur, I know my wife once loved you. In many ways I do respect you and I am thankful on how you helped to bring Victor back to life. But your grandparents are evil. Understand that.”

“Jossette is not evil.”

“Nette. Not Jossette. They are not the same person. Before time was changed, Victor did not die a mortal death in the boot of that car. He suffered, yes. A spell caged him in the boot of that car. He went nearly insane in that cage. Before you used magic to bring him back and then magic was used to change time, Victor was not murdered by Rachel and Rita. They were under a spell and simply accomplices.”

“By my grandfather.”

“And your grandmother.”

“That doesn’t make any sense. Jossette is the reincarnation of my grandmother. You have to be confused. Your memory was altered. And Joesion and I could only partly bring your memory back through dreams.”

“Victor has fallen into a god damn sleep. His spell is gone. And if I don’t get to him fast enough to wake him up then he is going to end up just like Amelia. And Sabian Blackrock will have won. The Space Alien Witches will have won. Belial will have won. And humanity will be lost. Just slaves to fucking evil.”

Joesion whispers. “Look at where Jossette and her friend are. He is a powerful witch right now. We don’t want to fight him.”

Arthur says. “I don’t want to fight him. I want to help him. I want Victor awake. The last thing we need is for Victor to become like Amelia.”

Elliot screamed, “Then get Quentin on the god damn radio. We are going to need his help.”

Jossette (Nette) screams from the cage. “Victor was murdered by Rachel and Rita. Victor was an unknowing witch or unknowing god at that point. The Unknowing can die a mortal death the same as any mortal. I did not kill Victor. I love Victor.”

Elliot shakes his head. “And your ghost has hidden from Victor, why? Why? Why?”

Barnabus stares at Jossette (Nette.) “What game have you been playing?”

“You can’t believe Elliot. He is crazy. He has always been crazy.”

Arthur and Joesion stare at one another. Then they look at Elliot. Arthur said, “I am confused. I know Victor is sometimes George. He is sometimes Caelous. And of course he is Victor. But what are you saying exactly about Jossette. I did hear you say that there is a real Jossette or did I misunderstand?”

Jossette (Nette) screams. “I am the real Jossette. Elliot is crazy.”

“There is a real Jossette. She was a sweet girl. Human. Human but brilliant. She is not a witch. She is not a god. And Victor and Caelous have loved her in so many lives.”

“I am Jossette. I am a witch. I am not human.”

Joesion asked, “What happened to the real Jossette?”

“I wasn’t there. I don’t know what happened. But that woman there in the cage is not Jossette. That is Nette.”

“I am the reincarnation of Nette. Jossette and I are one and the same.”

Arthur asks, “Why do you think that Jossette is not the reincarnation of Nette?”

“I met Nette when she was alive and I have known her in more than one life. I’ve also known Jossette in more than one life. I know they are not the same person with the same soul. There at the hospital that night Victor didn’t see it. He couldn’t see it. He would not allow himself to see it. But I saw Nette laying there in that bed. I knew who she was. Jossette was gone. I would guess Nette has her caged.”

“I am Jossette. You must believe me when I tell you that Elliot is crazy. He is sick. He is twisted. He might even be working for Sabian Blackrock or Satan or Belial. I don’t know. But god damn it, I am the girl that Victor loves and I love him. Arthur, do you really believe Victor would not know if I was not the real Jossette dying in that hospital room.”

Arthur says, “If Nette and Jossette are not the same person and Jossette is human then Jossette could have died in that hospital bed, but only if Nette was unknowing could she have died in that hospital bed.”

Elliot asks, “Did she die?”

“It was an open casket. There was a funeral.”

“After the casket was closed I saw Jossette leave the basement. I thought, okay, maybe I am mistaken. So I opened the coffin after it was closed but before it was sealed. There was no body in the coffin. Jossette was not dead. Nette put a spell on me so that I would not remember what I had learned. To be clear, she is not dead now. She is just pretending.”

Arthur says, “But the hospital? The sickness? It was real. Jossette was really sick. At that point Nette was an unknowing witch.”

“Jossette was a real person with a real personality. She was smart, brilliant. Nette, like Nortorious, is a dumbass. Nette had to get away from Jossette’s family before they started wondering why she was now so fucking dumb. She couldn’t have the kind of relationship that Jossette had with Victor for the same reason. Of course she could have a sexual relationship with a dreaming Victor or with George without George giving a damn but a truly awake Victor would realize there was something wrong. She could fake being Jossette but only for so long and then people would start to wonder, so she had to fake her death.”

Jossette screams. “You are crazy.”

Arthur asks, “Who killed Victor in that boot?”

Barnabus says, “Nette enjoys having sex with Victor too much to have wanted him dead. Elliot has that part right although I am not sure how he knows about Nette having sex with a dreaming Victor or with George.”

“I am not sure if Artorious is the one who killed Victor before time was changed or not.”

Jossette (Nette) says, “Victor died because he was unknowing. Rachel and Rita killed Victor when they put him in that boot and Victor did not know how to use magic to get out of that boot.”
