Chapter / Episode List of the Heathville Serial

Wade came up to greet Stewart when Stewart sent a text message to his mom that he was there. Wade was shocked to see Judy and Steed with him.

Stewart said, “I bumped into them when I was getting gas and I told them where mom is and what is going on.”

Judy said, “How is Tiffany?”

Wade said, “Not good. I sure hope Leroy is able to come up with the other two medicines that he needs.”

Steed said, “You know my father owns the Hearthville Hospital and I used to work at it. I can help Stewart and Leroy get into their database. I wish I could get the meds from the pharmacy but I made some calls. I don’t think that is going to be possible.”

Wade nodded.

Wade escorted them down into the cave and to Leroy’s Lab. Stewart and Steed looked around.

Steed said to Leroy, “This is nice. Show me where your computer is where I can get into the hospital database.”

Leroy took Steed to the computer.

Steed said, “I don’t know whether you will be able to access any information you don’t already have but maybe.” Steed brought up the database and then Leroy took over to type in the search information.

Stewart watched them at work. He called Roger on the phone and explained the situation. Steed gave Roger the information to pull up the hospital database on his end. Leroy told Roger the four medicines that Doc Hawkins had been giving his patients.

Roger typed in what they knew about the four meds and how they might work together. “Okay. You are fighting H1 and H2 inflammation. I see where that would be good. Okay, what this other med does is it actually works to reduce the viral load. And this other med fights any opportunistic bacterial load that might infect the person because of any inflammation from the virus. Let me type in some stuff. I have a program that will hopefully model this out. It is working, working. Shit. It needs me to enter another chemical. I am going to have to guess. It did not accept that. Try again. Try again. Fuck. Hell. Okay, there it is. Here is the telnet address to my system where you can access the information.”

Leroy looked at the information on Stewart’s phone. He pulled up his telnet program and went to the information. Leroy took Stewart’s phone. “Man I could kiss you. This is what I needed. Thank you so much.”

“No, thank you and Doc Hawkins. I have a friend who needs this cure. Will you be able to get the chemicals?”

“Yeah. That will not be a problem. And if you have a problem accessing what you need then just let me know and I will get the chemicals to you.”

“I am not sure. Could you just send me the chemicals.”

“Absolutely. And do not worry about paying.”

Steed and Judy looked at the information. Steed shook his head. “I never realized how smart my cousin is. Like unbelievable. I guess next to Roger and Victor I should be wearing a dunce cap.”

Judy patted Stewart on the shoulder. “I miss you and Roger being friends.”

Stewart nodded.

Roger said, “Yeah Stewart. I miss that also. You know you are always welcome to visit me.”

Stewart said, “Same.”

Ellen took the phone. “Why don’t you and your mom both come for a visit? I would like that.”

“I will talk to her and let you know.”

“Good.”

Leroy very quickly worked the magic spell to obtain the chemicals and make the medicines. Tiffany responded overnight to the treatment.

INT. BASEMENT OF LEROY’S HOME, BEDROOM – DAY

TIFFANY LANE is setting on the edge of the bed. ELLEN
DUDDLEY is sitting in a chair.

TIFFANY LANE
I feel so much better. I owe so
many people thanks for saving me.

WADE ESSY enters the room. He smiles at Ellen. He takes
Tiffany’s hand to help her stand up. She stands from the
edge of the bed.

WADE ESSY
Ellen, are you going to ride with
us?

ELLEN DUDDLEY
Steed and Judy went to gas his car
up. They will be back for me. I
am thinking about telling Steed and
Judy about Donny Maxtone.

TIFFANY LANE
Tell them what about Donny?

WADE ESSY
He was the son of Ellen and Arthur
Ramsey. Ellen gave him up for
adoption.

Tiffany motions for Ellen to stand. Ellen does. Tiffany
walks to her and takes her into her arms. She gives Ellen a
big hug.

TIFFANY LANE
Giving a baby up for adoption was
the hardest thing I ever did. But
we must never feel guilty. That
does no good.

ELLEN DUDDLEY
Do you know who your baby is?

TIFFANY LANE
It was a private adoption and I
picked the parents so yes. But of
course I don’t interfere. They do
allow me to visit him. To him I am
just a family friend. He will
never know who I am and that is
okay.

ELLEN DUDDLEY
Donny knew I was his mother but I
all the times I saw him with Victor
I never knew he was my son. I
never knew that he was Victor’s
half brother.

TIFFANY LANE
Donny was a good man. He was not
perfect, but he was a good man.

ELLEN DUDDLEY
Johnny Bare told us that Lilly
stole Donny from you.

TIFFANY LANE
(nods))
That is what I thought. And I was
a bitch toward Lilly. But I had no
bill of sale on Donny. I loved
Donny. But I don’t guess he ever
loved me.

WADE ESSY
(hugs on Tiffany)
How could anyone not love you?

INT. HEARTHVILLE GARAGE – DAY

HOWARD VELVEE is working on a car while STEED RAMSEY is
talking to him.

HOWARD VELVEE
Steed, with the hours you have been
working lately I may have to move
you to part time and hire another
mechanic.

STEED RAMSEY
I am sorry. Are we backed up far.

HOWARD VELVEE
Sam Smith has come over to help me
some, so no. With this covid shit
and the Hollice Mud Track being
shut down things have been slow at
the junkyard but things are
starting to pick up.

STEED RAMSEY
I promise to put in more hours.

HOWARD VELVEE
I don’t understand why. You are
rich and I am being honest here,
this place sucks.

STEED RAMSEY
I like doing mechanic work.

HOWARD VELVEE
If you say so. How is Judy doing?
(Howard glances out the
window at Judy pumping
gas)

STEED RAMSEY
Well, you know Victor is missing?

HOWARD VELVEE
That attack on the church was so
weird.

STEED RAMSEY
Yeah. Everything to do with that
covid shit is weird. You know
Tiffany Lane almost died. We
managed to get the meds to her to
save her life but it was bad.

HOWARD VELVEE
If anything happened to Tiffany I
think Wade would lose it.

STEED RAMSEY
Yeah. Wade was right there with
her. And Judy’s mom Ellen. And
Leroy. They even had my cousin
Roger Ogleby helping by phone.

HOWARD VELVEE
But no Victor?

STEED RAMSEY
No Victor.
(Looks out the window at
Judy.)
It hardly seems possible but I fear
he might be dead.

HOWARD VELVEE
I hope not. Though I will be
honest. There have been a few
times I could have murdered him
myself. I know he is popular and
all but there are times he rubs
people the wrong way. I mean that
at the church could have all been a
cover by someone plotting to kill
Victor. He has enemies.

STEED RAMSEY
I don’t know but how would they
know that Victor was going to be
there. And it was more like he
caught them in the act.

HOWARD VELVEE
I know what you saying. I just
have this weird feeling that the
attack on the church was a plot
against Victor. Anyway. I hope
Victor turns up soon.

STEED RAMSEY
Me also. Well. Put the gas on my
employee tab.

HOWARD VELVEE
I am fucking busy you asshole. I
trust you to do it.

STEED RAMSEY
(laughs)
Okay. Sorry. I will do it.

EXT. DUDDLEY HOME YARD – DAY

ELLIOT DUDDLEY is sitting in a swing and looking at his
phone.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
God damn. Victor. Call me. Let me
know that you are alright.

SAM SMITH and his sister SALLY SMITH drive up in a bright
yellow pickup truck with huge tires on it. They park. The
doors to the truck open.

SALLY SMITH
Fucking hell Sam. I hate this
shit. I practically need a ladder
to climb out of this truck.

Sally slides down out of the truck. With a big grin Sam
hops out of the truck like it is no big deal. Elliot puts
his phone in his pocket and stands up. He walks to the
truck. Sam and Sally walk to where Elliot comes to stand.
They lean up against the truck.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
We still haven’t had word from
Victor. We’ve hired your cousin
Johnny Bare to look for him.

SAM SMITH
He talked to us. It is hard to
explain where Victor is.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
But you know?

SALLY SMITH
We know. Let us just say that he
is stuck in another country and can
not get back to the United States
at the moment. He can not
communicate with the states right
now.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
I went over to the Hazel Manor that
Victor owns. That is one spooky
ass place. In the barn I found a
spaceship.

SAM SMITH
A spaceship? Probably just some
weird prototype car Victor is
working on.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
Liar! I figured out how to open the
door. I went inside the spaceship.
I looked over the computer system
on the ship. I accessed files.

SALLY SMITH
Why did you call Sam a liar? Do you
think we know anything about a
spaceship? What you are saying
about finding a spaceship sounds
crazy to us.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
I don’t think so. What happened to
the real Victor, Sally, and Sam?
Did you space aliens kill them?

SAM SMITH
Elliot, you are talking crazy. It
is the real Victor who is missing.
Not some space alien.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
When Victor turned nine, he
changed. And from that age he just
got more weird. But space alien or
not, I love him. God help me. But
I do. And I want him to come back.

SALLY SMITH
We are not space aliens. Victor is
not a space alien. You are talking
crazy.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
I saw a picture of the three of you
when you were around nine standing
in front of the spaceship.

SAM SMITH
Space Alien Witches run planet
earth but we are not space aliens.
Victor is not a space alien. We
are earth witches.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
How do you explain the spaceship?

SAM SMITH
I don’t know.

SALLY SMITH
I once had a dream that we stole a
spaceship. It was a vivid dream.
To this day I remember part of the
dream. But it was just a dream.

SAM SMITH
You never told me about the dream.

SALLY SMITH
If you don’t believe me, I wrote
about the dream in my diary.

SAM SMITH
Why would I not believe you? No.
The thing is. I also had a dream
about a spaceship when I was nine.
Did Victor really convince us to
help him steal a spaceship when we
were nine?

SALLY SMITH
We know the space alien witches do
fuck with our memories. Maybe we
did steal the spaceship from Sabian
Blackrock.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
I don’t know what to say. How do I
know that you aren’t space aliens
who replaced the real Sam and
Sally.

SAM SMITH
(stares hard at Elliot.
he scratches his head)
How do we know that you are the
real Elliot. How do we know that
Sabian Blackrock hasn’t replaced
the real Elliot with an imposter.

Sally steps away from the truck and Elliot. She studies him
from head to toe. She stares at his hands. There is no
wedding ring on his finger.

SALLY SMITH
I remember my father making a joke
that you never take your wedding
ring off. But you aren’t wearing
it now.

ELLIOT DUDDLEY
I lost it. I think the cat knocked
it somewhere while I was taking a
shower.
(Elliot looks at his ring
finger.)
I wish I had not lost my ring.
What if it is an omen that Ellen is
going to leave me.
(Elliot begins walking
away from Sam and
Sally.)
What if Ellen is also a space
alien. And Judy. What if I am the
only human left on earth.

SAM SMITH
Sally, I think Elliot is having a
nervous breakdown.

SALLY SMITH
Sam, I think we need Elliot to show
us where that spaceship is. I want
to see what he saw in its computer
system.

SAM SMITH
He thinks we are space aliens. But
never mind that. I think you are
right.

Sam runs to get Elliot. Elliot throws a punch at Sam. Sam
punches Elliot in the jaw. He then jumps to catch Elliot
from falling. He throws Elliot over his shoulder and
carries him to the truck. He throws Elliot in the back of
the truck.

SAM SMITH
Sally you drive. I better stay in
the back with Elliot.

SALLY SMITH
Okay.
