EXT. HEARTHVILLE BEACH - DAY

ELLEN DUDDLEY is walking onto the white sand of the beach.
She is wearing a straw hat, dark sun glasses, holding a
float in one hand and a bag in the other hand.  JUDY DUDDLEY
is walking behind her mother and holding a cooler.  VICTOR
DUDDLEY is walking behind his sister and holding two lounge
chairs.

                      ELLEN DUDDLEY
I wish Stewart and your father
could have come with us.  I would
have gone with them to the doctor
but you know there is nothing they
can do for Stewart's leg.  I wish
he could come to terms that he will
          never play football again.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Maybe there will be good news.
          We've got to hope.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
If good news then that will be
great.  If it is bad news, he has
got to get a job.  I wish he would
          work for me.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Victor, do you know how demeaning
that would be for him to work for
his younger brother.  He is not
going to want to take orders from
you.  I sure as hell wouldn't.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
Well, see if I ever offer you a
          job.  You just failed the
          interview.
                (laughs)

They reach near the Hearthville Lake and begin staking their
territory on the beach. LEROY BARE is sitting in a chair
near them.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
                (Looks at Leroy)
Who is that queer looking dude
          looking at us.

                      ELLEN DUDDLEY
That is Leroy Bare. He works at the
          Hearthville Hospital.
                (screams)
          Hey Leroy.

Leroy stands up. He walks over to them.

                      LEROY BARE
          Hello Mrs. Duddley, Victor, Judy.
I wasn't sure if you would remember
          me since, well, you know.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
I guess you are wondering about me.
          How I am here.

                      LEROY BARE
          A little bit.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
I am confused.  Why wouldn't Victor
          be here?

                      ELLEN DUDDLEY
Well, Victor almost died in the
          boot of that car.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          That actually happened.  I thought
          that was dream.  That happened!
Why would I think that was a dream?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
Well, it hasn't been talked about
much.  Say Leroy, why don't we go
for a ride on dad's boat.

                      LEROY BARE
          Sounds good to me.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
I want to go.  Only I would like to
          go water skiing.

                      ELLEN DUDDLEY
Well you three go.  I am going to
sit here and read on Victor's book
when I am not watching all the
young sexy dudes.  Today seems to
          be sausage fest.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          Mom!

                      LEROY BARE
Well.  There is a gay convention in
          town.

                      ELLEN DUDDLEY
Well. Gay or not, they are fun to
          watch.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Well, call me old fashion, but I
prefer my eye candy more masculine.

                      LEROY BARE
There are some lesbians here also.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
I've never met you before and I
          already don't like you.

                      LEROY BARE
                (smiles)
Well, I think you are wonderful.  I
          think your entire family is
          wonderful.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Yeah, that is a total gay thing to
do, trying to make me feel like a
          bitch.

Leroy kisses Judy on the cheek. He pulls a small small, red,
rubber,  coin purse type thing from his pocket and pulls a
card from the purse.  He hands it to Judy.

                      LEROY BARE
If you ever need me for any reason,
do not hesitate to call me.  My
cousins are Johnny and Lilly Bare
and if the problem is over my head
I will make sure they are aware and
          will come to help you.

Judy Duddley takes the card.  She looks at Victor and her
mom.  Then she looks back at Leroy.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Are we in some kind of danger?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
Yes we are.  Crime is out of
control.  Now let us forget that
shit and go out on the lake.

Judy looks at her mom with a questioning look.  Ellen shrugs
and makes clear she has no idea at what Leroy said.  Victor
eases closer to Leroy and they start walking.

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
                (whispers)
I am George.  Victor and Caelous
are caged.  I managed to escape.  I
do know where the cage is.

                      LEROY BARE
                (whispers)
Quentin Darko is trying to assemble
a resistance.  Will you be able to
          attend the meetings?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
          I am not a witch.

                      LEROY BARE
But you have knowledge.  So Quentin
will not argue with me on this.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
                (walks up)
Who is Quentin and why would he
          argue with you?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
          It is business.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          Oh.  Sounds like some shady
          business to me but whatever.

                      LEROY BARE
Are you good at water skiing?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
Oh God no, she is awful.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Shut up.  I have improved.  I
improved so much I may just catch
myself a boyfriend while I impress
everyone with my new found skiing
          ability.

                      LEROY BARE
Most of the dudes on the beach
          today are gay.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
                (laughs)
I am sure there must be one
straight dude out there today and
he may just be this Cinderella's
          prince.

                      LEROY BARE
Maybe.  I think I did see Steed
Ramsey on the beach today with his
          father.

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
          Why?

                      LEROY BARE
          Quentin.

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
Oh.  Well, if we bump into them I
          will definitely introduce Judy to
          Steed.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          Who is Steed?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
He is the cousin to Jossette and
Roger.  He is different from when
we knew him as Mark so forget that
          image of him.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
I did not have that image until you
          said that.  Dang it.  Victor.
          Sometimes.

                      LEROY BARE
So you have seen him since his
          mother and x-girlfriend tried to
          kill you?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
Mom insisted I go visit Jossette
and Stewart visited Roger and we
are good.  Steed was there.  We are
good.  Other than Satan has taken
          over the damn planet...never mind.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          What?

                      VICTORY DUDDLEY
          Inside joke. Forget it.

                      LEROY BARE
          Yeah. Hilarious.

EXT. DOCK - DAY

Leroy Bare, Victor Duddley, and Judy Duddley walk from the
sandy beach onto the dock where the boat belonging to Elliot
Duddley is docked.  As they walk on the dock, the dock
bounces slightly.  They come to the boat and a shed.  Judy
opens the door to the shed to get her ski's.  She is
struggling to reach her skis.  Leroy helps her while Victor
begins untying the boat.

EXT. HEARTHVILLE BEACH - DAY

Ellen Duddley sees Arthur Ramsey and his son Steed talking
to some woman.  She isn't sure who the woman is.  Arthur
turns and sees Ellen.  They stare at one another.

Music starts to play from an intercom system on the beach.

EXT. HEARTHVILLE BEACH - DAY

ARTHUR RAMSEY, STEED RAMSEY, and ALICE MALOKEY are talking.
Steed sees his father is looking at a Ellen.

                      STEED RAMSEY
I think I see sparks flying between
you and Ellen Duddley?  What is
          that about?

                      ARTHUR RAMSEY
As children we used to play.  As
teenagers we fancied we were in
love.  Then I met your mom and I
          broke Ellens heart.

                      ALICE MALOKEY
          I didn't know that you and Victor's
          mom were ever an item.

                      STEED RAMSEY
You know, I saw Victor the other
day when he came to visit Jossette.
He was friendly to me.  I was all
apologizing for what mon did to
him, and he told me to love my mom.
He said the past is the past.

                      ALICE MALOKEY
You know he is not the real Victor.
The real Victor has been caged.  It
          is possible Satan has replaced
          Victor with a demon.

Ext. Duddley Boat on Hearthville Lake - day

JUDY DUDDLEY is sitting in a seat off on the left side of
the boat.  LEROY BARE is sitting in a seat off on the right
side of the boat.  VICTORY DUDDLEY is driving the boat.
Leroy is staring at Judy and Judy is staring at Leroy. Boat
slows to a stop.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
                (Waving with a big smile
                 on his face. Screams.)
          Yo, hey Professor Wilcox.

EXT. WILCOX BOAT - DAY

Boat slow to a stop. PROFESSOR WILCOX is sitting his wife
Mini Wilcox on one side of him and his son Bachus Wilcox on
the other side of him.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
Your father is threatening to fire
          me.

EXT. DUDDLEY BOAT - DAY

JUDY DUDDLEY is laughing and LEROY BARE starts laughing.
VICTOR DUDDLEY starts laughing.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
                (screams)
You blew the science lab up.  Did
          you expect an award.

EXT. WILCOX  BOAT - DAY

Bachus takes the wheel of the boat from his father.
Professor Wilcox  dives into the lake and swims.

EXT. DUDDLEY BOAT - DAY

PROFESSOR WILCOX  climbs the ladder onto the Duddley boat.
VICTOR DUDDLEY, JUDY DUDDLEY, and LEROY BARE watch him.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
I can't explain the lab blowing up.
The chemicals I were using should
not have been explosive.  But your
father will not listen to me.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
If he has not fired you yet, I am
sure he is listening.  I will talk
to him in your favor.  I will make
          a donation to the college.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
Thank you Victor.  I've been so
          worried.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
So you the chemicals were not
          explosive.  What were you working
          on?

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
I was experimenting with some of
          the covid vaccines.

                      LEROY BARE
Do you know why the vaccine has not
killed any more people than they
          have?

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
          Why?

                      LEROY BARE
Some of the vaccines were a lot
less potent because they were not
          being stored correctly.  They
          actually planned on killing more
          people than they did.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          Who is they?

                      LEROY BARE
          People working for Satan.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
You are joking.  Right.  I mean you
are gay.  You aren't a religious
          nut are you?

                      LEROY BARE
Why do you think I am gay?  You
acted like you didn't even know me.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          I am sorry.

                      LEROY BARE
          Why?

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          For assuming you are gay.

                      LEROY BARE
Well, I am gay, but I don't have it
stamped to my forehead, do I?

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
My wife and I have been trying to
figure out if our son Bachus is
gay.  Not that we would mind, but
          not knowing bothers us.

                      LEROY BARE
I am pretty sure he is straight but
          an INCEL.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
          What is an INCEL?

                      LEROY BARE
Celibate but not by the choice.
They can't connect with women for
whatever reason.  I think it is
because most modern women are crazy
          bitches.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Oh my God.  Leroy, you are just
          plain evil.

                      LEROY BARE
See what I mean.  Would you want to
ask Judy out on the date.  Look at
her.  Before you even ask her out,
you know she is going to shoot you
          down.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Professor Wilcox, I will totally go
out on a date with your son.

                      LEROY BARE
Now Professor Wilox, thank me for
          getting your son a date.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
          Thanks Judy.  Thanks Leroy.  So
Victor, you will talk to your
          father.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
I will and if he does not listen to
me or too much pressure is being
put on him from the college board
to fire you, I will give you a job.
You do not have to worry.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
          Thank you.

Professor Wilcox dives into the lake and swims back to his
boat. Victor puts the boat back into motion once Professor
Wilcox is on the ladder to his own boat.

                      LEROY BARE
You know Professor Wilcox may be in
          danger.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
I know it.  I am just not sure what
to do about it.  It is not like I
          am really Victor.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          What?

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
          I was joking.

                      LEROY BARE
Yeah.  I am still laughing at that
          joke.  I tell you what.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
You two are so weird together

EXT. WILCOX BOAT - DAY

PROFESSOR WILCOX climbs back aboard his boat. He sits down
next to his son BACHUS WILCOX.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
So son, how would you like to go on
          date with Judy Duddley.

                      BACHUS WILCOX
Are you insane?  If I went on a
date with her I would be so scared
that I would piss in my pants and
shit myself.  I could never show my
          face again.

EXT. LAKE HEARTHVILLE - DAY

From view on Wilcox boat, tight focus on Professor Wilcox,
Bachus Wilcox and Mini Wilcox.  Then pull camera back to a
long shot across the water of Hearthville Lake toward the
boat.  Inside the shot also include the view of the Duddley
Boat.  Then move back closer toward the Wilcox boat.  Right
on the Wilcox boat. EXPLOSION. The boat explodes into a ball
of fire. Bachus flies into the air.  Fire is around him. He
splashes into the lake.  He sinks beneath the water.

EXT. DUDDLEY BOAT - DAY

Focus on the horror on the faces of Victor Duddley, Judy
Duddley, and Leroy Bare.

EXT. HEARTHVILLE BEACH - DAY

Ellen Duddley jumps up from her chair dropping Victor's book
back into the chair.  The chair folds and falls over.
Victor's books sticks up from the fallen folding chair.
Ellen runs toward the lake and into the lake.

The camera whirls around to show everyone on the beach
staring at the horror before them.  And the camera whirls to
show the Wilcox boat burning.

EXT. DUDDLEY BOAT - DAY

VICTOR DUDDLEY points.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
I see splashing.  We've got to go
          save them.

JUDY DUDDLEY stands and pats her brother on the back.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          I don't see anything. I don't see
          how anyone could have survived.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
          They did.  I see splashing.

LEROY BARE falls over where he is seated. Judy Duddley
examines him.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          He is passed out.

Victor turns and sees the astral body of Leroy emerge from
his body.  In ghostly form he walks up to Victor.  He
whispers to Victor.

                      LEROY BARE
I will do what I can on this side.
You do what you can on that side.
If they are dead, I must try to
          prevent them from being caged.

In astral form, Leroy begins running across the water.  He
is waving and screaming.

                      LEROY BARE
Do not go into the light.  Do not
go into the light.  It is a trap.
          Move toward the shadows.

Leroy Bare sees the ghosts of PROFESSOR WILCOX, MINI WILCOX,
walking on the water to him from the burning boat.  Then he
sees the ghost of  BACHUS WILCOX swimming toward him.

                      LEROY BARE
I am going to put you in my cage to
protect you from their cages.  I
have to get back to my body.  Do
          you three understand.

                      MINI WILCOX
I don't know.  My instinct says we
          should avoid all cages.

                      LEROY BARE
Don't worry.  I will free you in
          Whitehead and Baretown.  I am
pretty sure that you will be
          accepted there.

                      PROFESSOR WILCOX
I have been there before.  I trust
          you Leroy.

                      BACHUS WILCOX
I think a demon has taken my body,
a monstrous demon.  And my burned
          body is so hideous now.

Leroy holds up a small  bottle.  Go into the cage where I
can better protect you.  The three of them turn into a smoke
form and go into the bottle.

EXT. DUDDLEY BOAT - DAY

LEROY BARE wakes his body up and stands.  JUDY BARE watches
him.  VICTOR BARE stops the boat short of the fire.  He sees
someone swimming toward shore. Leroy Bare waves his arms and
freezes Judy so she can't hear what he is about to say.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
One of them toward shore.  I need
          to get to them.

                      LEROY BARE
All three of them are dead.  Bachus
says that a demon has taken control
          of his burnt body.

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
Do you have them where they will be
          safe from being caged?

                      LEROY BARE
I have them safe.  I am going to
          unfreeze Judy now.

Leroy waves his hands and unfreezes her.  He also reverses
her memory so that she does not remember him passing out.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          I have the weirdest feeling.
Didn't I see you pass out?

                      LEROY BARE
          No.  Don't be silly.  I didn't pass
out.  But gosh, hearing and seeing
that boat explode was horrible.  I
don't blame you for passing out.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
          I did not pass out.

                      LEROY BARE
I am pretty sure you did.

                      JUDY DUDDLEY
Did they survive the explosion and
          fire?

                      VICTOR DUDDLEY
          No.  I don't think so.
