Remember, after the 2008 crash GM closed 40% of its 6,000 dealerships. Today, 12-6-2020, GM has 4500 U.S. Dealerships. It has 880 Cadillac Dealerships in the United States.

About 150 US Cadillac dealers plan to exit the high end brand that is Cadillac, rather than to sell electric cars. GM recently gave Cadillac dealers a choice: Accept a buyout offer to exit from the brand or spend roughly $200,000 on dealership upgrades—including charging stations and repair tools—to get their stores ready to sell electric vehicles.
