Chapter Two
Maureen Bingo sits, lonely, looking out the window of her small Apartment waiting for Bess, her seventeen year old daughter to come home from school. Her ten year old son Billy Bingo is going home with a friend from school this day as he did most days, or so Maureen thought, when his sister might bring company home. Bess did likewise when her brother would be bringing company home.
Maureen’s husband, Frank Bingo, is working on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. Maureen had considered moving from Rockdale, Georgia to be closer to her husband but even before he got the job they had been having problems. She had decided it best if she and her children stay in Georgia. She did miss her husband. Looking out the window into the rain that had started to beat down on the cars in the parking lot she considers how friendless she feels.
Suddenly, she sees Mary Aghar driving into the parking lot. Bess with her friend Rachel are sitting in the backseat of the yellow Camaro laughing about something. Maureen Bingo guesses boys. They pull into the only available parking space that is across the way from the Apartment Building. All three of them jump out of the car and race to enter the now open door of the Bingo family home. Maureen races from where she opened the door to get them towels. Waiting for her, the three them drip, drip, drip enough water to form a puddle at their freezing feet.
Rachel’s mother, Mary Aghar, laughs, “We are making quite the mess aren’t we. We’d already got drenched at the school parking lot. The freezing rain seems to have followed us here.”
Maureen tells Bess, “Go with your friend to get her some dry clothes from your closet to put on. The two of you are near the same size.” Then she looks at Mary Aghar. “As are you and I. No point in you staying in those wet clothes.”
Mary Aghar grins and jokes. “You are just like my x-boyfriend. Always trying to get me out of my clothes.”
Maureen laughs as she and Mary Aghar go into her bedroom. “I swear the three of you almost look a shade of blue from the cold.” Maureen pulls a pants suit from her closet. “I think this will fit you fine. Might be a little baggy.” Maureen starts to leave the room.
Mary rubs her hands to together and folds her arms as for a second she visibly shivers. “Don’t go. I am not bashful.” Mary shakes off the momentary chill and starts to unbutton her blouse. “Bess and my Rachel seem to be becoming fast friends. In a short while I’ve come to think the world of Bess.” Mary hesitates. “This isn’t my place to say anything.” Mary removes her blouse.
“What is that?” Maureen says as she sits down on the bed and she stares at Mary’s naked breasts. Maureen is somewhat shocked that Mary isn’t wearing a bra beneath her blouse. When Mary turns to look at Maureen, Maureen quickly looks away.
“Well. This is awkward. Bess has a crush on George Destone and I don’t trust that boy. When he was over at my house with Bess and Rachel, that seventeen year old boy made a pass at me.”
“Oh, my, that is not good.” Maureen turns to look back at Mary as Mary looks away from her. Mary starts removing her wet pants. “Not good at all.” Maureen has met George and can picture George making a pass at Mary. “What did you do?”
Mary giggles. She tells a slightly different version from what really happened. “When we were alone in my house, the girls were off at the library, I took him to my bedroom and I fucked the hell out of him.”
“You are teasing.”
“No. I am serious. He was horny as hell. I was horny as hell. He is quite the sex machine and it is great not to have to replace batteries.”
“He is just 17.”
“He is legal. Hell, if he is old enough to get himself killed in the military then he is old enough to protect himself from little old me.” Mary pauses. “More to the point, I am old enough to protect myself from him. That George is bad and Bess is such a sweet, innocent girl. I know it isn’t my place to say this but I don’t think you should let Bess keep seeing him.”
Maureen admires Mary posing naked in front of her. “If he is having sex with you I would think he would break it off with my daughter. I hate trying to tell my daughter she can’t see someone. You know how that is likely to just make her mad and it will backfire.”
Mary pulls some dry panties from a clothes basket on the bed to put on. “You are probably right. It is best if he breaks her heart. But what if before he does, he seduces her. Do you want her first time to be with someone like that?”
Maureen shakes her head. “I don’t want her to have a first time. That said, we all have our first time and it is seldom with the man we end up with.”
Mary sits down on the bed next to Maureen to slip her legs in the underwear. She then stands up to slip them the rest of the way on. “Or woman.”
“What?”
“I’ve seen the way you’ve been sneaking looks at me. Do you want to experiment?”
“Rachel and Bess are in the next room.”
“Not now silly. Come over to my house tomorrow while the girls are in school.”
