Chapter 11 – Billy Bingo: The Forgotten Past

Billy Bingo: The Forgotten Past

Chapter 11

[List of All Chapters]

Billy gets out of his old Comet Car at Raymond Bing’s home. He looks at Raymond’s car in the driveway. Billy isn’t sure whether it is imagination or not but something does not feel right. The nervous sound in Raymond’s voice that Billy had chosen to ignore is now not so easy to ignore. Billy looks at the white Cargo Van in front of Raymond’s home.

Instead of walking up to Raymond’s door, Billy walks to the sidewalk and glances inside of the Van. Billy then looks up and down the road. Other than the Cargo Van, Billy does not notice anything that might scream peculiar.

Billy pulls out his cellphone. He calls Raymond. “Is everything okay?”

There is a period of silence before Raymond say’s anything. “Yeah. Everything is okay.” There is another pause. “I am just sitting here waiting for you.”

Billy looks at the front of the house from side to side. The house has a basement and the windows in the front of the house are all at least ten feet from the ground. There is a small concrete porch and one window that looks out over the porch. Billy notices the curtain to the window move.

Billy closes his cellphone and walks behind the house. The windows in the back of the house are all close to the ground. The window to what Billy figures is to the bathroom is open. There is a screen but Billy figures that screen will be easy enough to remove. Billy puts his cellphone in his pocket. He walks to the bathroom window. Trying to be quiet as possible Billy removes the screen. Billy crawls through the open window. Billy looks at the toilet and thinks how much he needs to take a piss but consider that will make noise. Billy walks to the open bathroom door. He glances out the door to do a quick check up and down the hallway. He sees no one. Suddenly his cellphone starts ringing. Billy pulls the phone out of his pocket to see that it is Raymond’s number calling him. No sooner had Billy acted to quickly turn the phone off, than Billy looks up to see Kane staring at him.

“Son of a bitch.” Billy shakes his head. “Fuck.”

Kane laughs. “Yo, Leg Man, you are slipping. Don’t you know if you are going to sneak into a house then you should park down the street. And yeah, that cell phone should have been turned off.”

“You mean as opposed to parking out in front of the house.” Billy shakes his head as he looks at his cell phone and then places it back into his pocket. “Shit.”

Kane laughs loud. “Yeah. That was stupid of me. But there are a million white Cargo Vans. There aren’t that many old Comet’s being driven around.” Kane grabs Billy by the hair of his head and pulls Billy into the living room. Kane mumbles, “You make things too easy for me.”

Raymond Bing is tied to a straight chair. He isn’t gagged. “Sorry Billy. One of Kane’s men was hidden in my backseat with a gun.”

Kane pulls Billy by the hair to where Billy’s face is touching his face. “Did you really think that I would not remember and recognize good old Raymond?” Then Kane shoves Billy to Mike Ruby and Snake Juice. “Strip Billy naked.”

With Snake Juice holding Billy, Mike yanks Billy’s pants off. Mike spanks Billy on his naked ass and then slaps at Billy’s balls. Billy struggles against Mike and Snake but is unable to break free from them

Another man, Travis Heartbe walks from the kitchen. “You do not really want to leave DNA evidence.”

“Shit. If I am not able to stop people from being worried about that damn video, DNA evidence is the least of my problems.”

Travis shrugs. He then walks out the door and leaves Raymond’s house without saying anything else.

Listening to Kane as he fights against Snake’s tight grip on his arms, Billy looks at Raymond. Raymond sort of nods to let Billy know that Billy has heard Kane right about the video tape.

“You tried to kill me at the Way Party. You were going to kill me in the woods. Now you are worried about the video?”

Kane rolls his eyes. “I am more worried about that tape with you alive than dead. And people have voluntary sex all the time. The importance of DNA evidence is grossly exaggerated in the news and on TV. It isn’t like people haven’t seen me climb in and out of your window in the broad light of day for a little quick sex with you and my girlfriend.” Kane gives a twisted look. “Oh my God, my girlfriend and I totally love Billy Bingo. We can’t imagine who would have killed him. It breaks our heart.” Kane walks over, grabs Billy, and kisses Billy full on the mouth. Billy responds by spitting in Kane’s face. Kane wipes the spit off with the back of his hand and then rubs the wet back of his hand across Billy’s face. “That just turns me on more.” Kane starts to undress. “Put Billy over there on the couch with his ass turned up.” Undressing, Kane walks back to the bathroom.

Mike leans down to take Billy by his ankles. Just when Mike’s face hits Billy’s cock, Billy intentionally lets loose pissing so that he is peeing in Mike’s face. Mike screams in horror at being pissed on and quickly forms a fist and raises up to belt Billy in the face. Billy dodges the fist and instead of striking Billy, Mike lands a solid punch into Snake Juice’s jaw and Snake Juice sprawls to the floor knocked cold. Billy notices a dirty plate on the coffee table with a kitchen knife in the plate. As Mike starts to grab Billy, Billy takes aim with his dick and shoots a stream of piss right into Mike’s eyes. Then Billy grabs his pants and the knife in one speedy swoop and rushes to cut the rope away from Raymond to free him from the chair.

Kane hears the commotion and rushes back to the living room with his gun drawn. Kane takes aim at Billy’s naked ass just as Billy and Raymond bounce out the front door. “That is one pretty ass.” Kane considers firing his gun and chasing after them but he figures it is best to let Billy escape rather than having to explain gunfire. Kane glances back at Turkey Juice and Mike Ruby trying to clean the piss off themselves. Kane whispers, “Yeah Billy, don’t make things easy. I think my plan will work.”

Inside his car Billy grabs his car keys from his pants pocket and cranks his car. Watching Billy speed out of the driveway Kane screams from the door, “You two have fun now.” Kane turns and laughs at an elderly, nosey neighbor watching Billy speed off in the car with Raymond.

The aged man calls to Kane, “Was that young dude naked?”

Raymond shakes his head. “No. He was wearing a suit that was given to him on his birthday.”

The man waves his hand at Kane as he turns to walk back inside. “Biggest damn cock I’ve ever seen.”

Travis Heartbe in the white Cargo Van starts to follow after Billy but Kane motions for him to come to him and not to bother following. Travis gets out of the Van and walks up to Kane, “You don’t really want to kill Billy, do you?”

“The fuck I don’t! You tell the Judge that Billy is as good as dead.”

Travis clears his throat. “As good as is not going to cut it with the Judge.”

They all get into the White Cargo Van and leave Raymond’s house.

Billy doesn’t drive far when he pulls back behind an old, abandoned mini-mall. He puts his pants on. He ask Raymond, “Where is my box from the tree?”

“It is in the boot of my car.”

From the abandoned mini-mall Billy drives back to Raymond’s house. Billy notices Picklepuss’ machine gun in the backseat of his car. Billy takes the machine gun. He handles the machine gun almost like he knows what he is doing. Billy and Raymond approach Raymond’s car like they are on a military maneuver. Billy checks to make sure that no one is in the back seat or around the car. Raymond opens the boot of his car and Billy takes the tin box and slips it down the front of Raymond’s pants. Raymond’s shirt hides the bulge. Raymond closes the boot to his car. Billy and Raymond then rush back to Billy’s car, he throws the machine gun in the backseat and then again speeds off.

Raymond stares at Billy. “Do you think Kane is going to kill me?”

“I am going to drive you to Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. You buy yourself a ticket and stay the hell out of this town until I call you to tell you that it will be safe for you to come home.”

“But my job.”

“Hopefully you will be back in town in less than a week.”

“You’ve got a plan.”

“I’ve got a plan.”

“I feel like a coward.”

“Why?”

“I should be telling you that I will stay here to help. Instead I can’t wait to get to the airport.”

“You’ve been brave enough. You have nothing to be ashamed about.”

Raymond stares at Billy and starts chuckling.

“What?”

“You pissing in that biker’s face.”

Billy laughs. “Not a clean get away but an escape just the same.”

After getting stuck in traffic they finally make it to near the Atlanta airport. Raymond takes the tin box from this pants. He slides the tin box under the seat. “You can let me out here. I will walk.” Raymond points. “Not a good idea to drive through parking entry points with that machine gun in the backseat.”

Billy nods and pulls off to the side. “Everything is going to be okay. I will call when it is clear for you to come back into town.”

Raymond opens the door. “I pray that you win and come out of this alive.”

“It will be okay.”

Raymond gives Billy the key to his house and car and gets out of the car, closes the door, and starts walking. Billy pulls back into the expressway and waves at Raymond as he passes him. Billy exits the expressway so that he can get back on going in the other direction. Billy heads home hoping that Kane has not done anything to hurt his family. When Billy gets home he finds a note that tells him dinner is in the Fridge and telling him that they’ve gone out for the evening. Billy calls them to make sure they are okay and tells them to spend the night at a hotel out of town. He hates to scare his parents but he’d rather scare them than they be where Kane might get to them. Billy calls his sister Bess and tells her to break her normal habits and to visit Atlantic City or somewhere. At first she argues with Billy but then agrees. When Billy tells her to stay clear of anyone she associates with Kane Bishop, her heart sinks. She is terrified for her little brother, who though a man, is still her little brother.

Billy drives to a street behind the Harris home. Most of the houses in the neighborhood are vacant from where a Corporation had bought many of the houses. There is no one to notice Billy walking with his tin box to the Harris home from a back alley. It is still daylight outside. Billy enters the vacant, though still furnished, Harris home through a back basement window. He checks the generator in the basement. The generator looks as though someone has been maintaining it. It has a new battery. He fires the generator up. He then climbs the stairs from the basement and enters the home to go to Tommy’s room. As luck would have it, Tommy’s room had been left as it was before Tommy’s death. The VCR equipment that Tommy pirated movies on is still set up. There are a couple of blank videos still there in the room. Billy takes the video tape from the tin box and makes a copy. While making the copy he notices something at the end of the tape. It is something he now also remembers from the first time he saw the tape. Billy takes the copy of the video tape and goes to the living room and puts the copy into the VCR. He turns the VCR and TV on. He walks through the house and flips all the light switches on. Billy then goes back to the basement and turns the generator off. Everything in the house goes back dark. Billy goes back up stairs and gets his tin box from Tommy’s room and he goes to the living room and the VCR. He takes an electric wire from the tin box and using insulators rigs the wire across the buttons of the VCR. He plugs the wire into the outlet. With his tin box in hand, Billy leaves the Harris home, walks through the backyard and across the alley to where his car is parked. No one notices.

Billy then drives to Olivia Destone’s garage. He enters her office where she is sitting at her desk and working out the schedule for some of the Escorts who subcontract with her. He takes the tape out of the tin box and puts it into her VCR. He starts the tape. It is the tape showing Kane Bishop and a group of other bikers raping and beating Tommy up. “I want you to see and understand why I am going to kill Kane Bishop. See. This tape is why Kane Bishop killed Tommy Harris.”

At the moment the tape is out of focus and only showing trees. “Why show me the tape and tell me that you are going to kill Kane?” Olivia ask. Then the tape changes and Olivia stares in seeming horror at the TV. Watching the tape she appears to be crying. “I never knew it was that bad.” Her words sound honest. “ I knew that Tommy had run away for a couple of months after that happened. I guess that was so he’d have time to heal up so his family, so we, would not see how bad it was. Fuck. I can’t watch more. Turn that off.”

Billy turns the VCR off and then looks at Olivia. He looks at a young woman standing off to the side that he had not notice enter the room. She had been in the bathroom.

“I knew Kane Bishop was evil. I just didn’t know. That there, that is our worse fear. Who is that young man?” There are no fake tears from the young woman speaking but there is the sound of sadness in her voice.

Billy tells her. “That is Tommy Harris. Kane Bishop and his gang murdered him ten years ago.”

Olivia wipes away the tears that come easy for her. “What do you expect me to do?”

“Does Kane take your calls?”

“I have to pay him for protection but I have as little to do with him as possible.”

The woman walks up to Billy. “My name is Willa Trundle.”

“Related to Sylvia?”

“I am her sister.” Willa hesitates with her question but still she ask, “Are you planning to kill Kane Bishop?”

“I am.”

Willa nods. “Promise that you will not hurt Sylvia.”

“I don’t trust Sylvia.”

“I don’t either, but she is still my sister.”

“What does Kane think about you?”

“I try to stay away from him. I’ve tried to tell my sister to get away from him but …”

“But they are two of kind. You know it. I know it.”

“She is blood.”

Billy looks at Olivia and points to Willa. “Would they come for her?”

Olivia shakes her head. “No. Sylvia hates her. Hell, Sylvia has tried to kill her two or three times.”

“I need to get Kane to go to the old Harris home. That is where I want to kill him. Any suggestions.”

Willa points. “The video tape. I will pretend like I found it at the, what did you say…”

“The old Harris home.”

“I will tell him that I will sell it to him for $25,000 when he meets me at the Harris home. That should bring him there.”

“You’d do that?”

“Hell. You can listen when I make the call.”

“How do I know you will not make a second call?”

“Take me with you. I don’t want Sylvia hurt but I want her away from that crazy fuck.”

Billy notices that Olivia has a way to copy video to DVDs. He makes five copies of the tape.

Olivia smiles. “Yeah, that is the reason he might not fall for it. Original isn’t worth much when there are so many copies.”

“Oh, I think he will fall for it.” Billy smiles. Billy doesn’t explain that he knows it will not be the tape that Kane Bishop comes for. Billy feels certain that Kane Bishop will come for him. Billy knows what is at the end of the tape. He knows Olivia betrayed Tommy. Billy knows the call Olivia will make and he is certain it will be Olivia who makes the call. Olivia would have had him think that Hutch is the one who murdered Tommy but he feels certain that she always knew it was Kane Bishop. Her tears and her acting that she was shocked by the tape didn’t mean much to Billy when he knows at the end of the tape she had accidentally pointed the camera to her own face. She was the one who made the tape.

Billy takes the tape and the copies and puts them all in his tin box. He leaves.

Willa starts to make the call but Olivia stops her. “Don’t get involved.”

Olivia calls Kane Bishop. “Billy has the Tommy video tape and has made five copies of it. He has gone to the Harris home and is waiting for you. He thinks he is setting a trap for you. Now is the perfect chance for you to kill Billy Bingo.”

Willa stares at Olivia. She then runs out the door of the office and out of the garage. She calls a friend of hers on the police force. “Detective Face, something major is about to go down at the Harris home. Some young man was planning to set a trap for Kane Bishop but Olivia has tipped Kane off.”

“What do you mean not to get involved?” … “You know Kane Bishop is evil. I know he is evil. I was going to help this man but Olivia stopped me from making the call I was going to make.” … “I don’t know his name. He had a tape from ten years ago where Kane Bishop and his gang raped and beat up a young man named Tommy Harris. The man who showed the tape to Olivia said that Kane Bishop later killed Tommy Harris.” … “Fuck no. You don’t go to the house to arrest the young man. Just go to the damn house to warn him. I would go but I don’t have a car and even if I stole a car I don’t know where the house is.” … “Joseph Face, you know the Police Department is corrupt. Please just go to the house and warn the man that Olivia has betrayed him.” … “Thank you. I owe you big time.”

Billy drives to a gas station to buy a gas can and five gallons of gas. Billy then goes back to the cemetery at the old church and hides the DVD’s in different places in the church. Billy then drives toward the old Harris home where no one lives.

Detective Face is off duty and decides to do what Willa Trundle has asked him to do. Driving the speed limit, he drives toward the Harris home in his unmarked car. He reaches the house and sits in his car. He watches the house from his car. Even though it is night, the moon is full and he thinks he has a pretty good view of the front of the abandoned home. He hasn’t sit there long when he sees Kane Bishop sneaking and crawling through a front window. He has not seen any sign that Billy is anywhere around the house.

Billy has again driven around on a street behind the house and comes up from a back alley way. With the gas can in hand Billy slips though a window into the basement of the house. He pours the gas into a generator. When he fires the generator up, all the lights in the house come on. The television also comes on.

Kane Bishop is walking around the house when the lights and TV comes on. He hears screams on the television from ten years ago. The screams cause chills to creep up his spine. Kane Bishop rushes to the living room and to the TV. Kane looks around but sees no one. Kane calls to Billy, “Billy, I know you are here. It is just you and me.”

Detective Joseph Face sees the house light up as he is walking briskly toward what once was the residence of the Harris family. “Fuck.” He stops walking and runs to the front door. Detective Face has a lock pick key that will open many locks. He has no trouble opening the front door. When Kane Bishop sees Detective Face enter the house, he rushes to turn the VCR off. Kane Bishop touches the live wire that Billy has rigged across the VCR. Kane Bishop is electrocuted just as Billy comes up out of the basement with his revolver pointed.

Detective Face screams to Billy. “Leg Man, get the hell out of the here. I will handle things with the police.”

Billy doesn’t remember Detective Face but Billy has no intention of hurting anyone who is innocent. Billy screams, “Don’t touch anything until I get the generator turned off.” Billy quickly jogs down the steps back into the basement. He puts his revolver away. He quickly kills the generator so that no one else will be electrocuted. He then does as Detective Face has told him. He gets the hell out of there.
