Hearthville Serial: Book 6 – Chapter 3

Excerpt:

Wade Essy sat in the passenger seat as his mom, Hope Essy, drove them home from Church this Sunday. Wade was a hustler. He could be a tough act. Most people would not guess he went to church with his mom most Sundays. He’d had some day. When the police–none of whom he knew in this small town of Hearthville–came into the church threatening to fine all of them and to put knives in their tires, he’d slugged one them. He intentionally breathed on another one. Then he lifted his leg like he was going to fart in the direction of one of them. He was pissed. He was living a tough life and going to church with his mom was the one thing that helped keep him sane. Not that he was too sane. Before the police had arrived he had gotten into an argument with the Preacher Biscue over whether Hades and Hell were the same place or not.

Hearthville Serial: Book 6 – Chapter 2

Excerpt:

Victor wakes up in a hotel room. He looks over to see Deven, naked and on top of the sheets, in the other bed. He sees Leroy, fully dressed, in the bathroom and shaving. “Yo Deven, wake up and cover your naked ass.”

Deven opens his eyes. He looks over at Victor. “Man, I can’t believe we came all the way to Las Vegas just to discover that Vegas is closed.”

Victor vaguely remembers Deven, Leroy, and himself on a plane flying to Vegas and then checking into the Hotel. “Closed. What the hell are you talking about. A city can’t be closed. Maybe a small town. I guess. But an entire freaking city.”

Leroy says, “Yeah, we really should have been watching the news. It seems the entire planet is in a pandemic. Something called Covid-666. You had already gone to bed when I started making calls and trying to book some shows and stuff.”

Victor, nude, crawls out of bed. Leroy and Deven stare at Victor’s cock.

Leroy points and laughs. “I’ve seen some big cocks in my time but I am pretty sure if there were a contest you would win.”

Hearthville Serial: Book 5 – Chapter 17

4/18/2020 – I will again begin posting the Hearthville Serial in May. Although it ends with a cliffhanger this will be the last Chapter of Book 5 and in May I will begin Book 6. With Book 6 I will be switching to present tense, instead of past tense. I realize some readers do not like present tense but in present tense I am more able to stay in visual mode and although I am prone to even more errors in that mode, I write faster. Also, in present tense my focus remains more on the story and it maintains my interest better than past tense. Even though I am not switching to script form, present tense is more similar to writing a script.

Excerpt:

Victor said, “It does not matter. So you are the one who brought us to Puto Viso? If not to have Belial cage us, then why?”

General Gorgan said, “There is a General I want freed from her cage. I know you are smart. I know all of you are capable. When the vortex opened, I had sudden brilliant idea. That is what I thought but now I know better. I am sorry. Let me get all of you back to earth before disaster falls.”

Victor looked at the fighting spaceships that had gathered above them. “Disaster has already fallen. Our only hope is to get to the caves.”

General Gorgan said, “They can’t see you. They can’t see my spaceship. Get in my spaceship and we will get out of here.”

Victor said, “I don’t trust you.”

General Gorgan said, “I am now working with the Legman on earth.”

“Just because he has trust in you does not mean that I should.”

Hearthville Serial: Book 5 – Chapter 16

Excerpt:

Then an image flashed in Victor’s mind of a fleet of fighter spaceships coming their direction. He could hear their horrifying sound that sounded like a swarm of bees. He turned from the gates. “We’ve got to get to the caves. We’ve got to hurry. I feel the forces of Belial coming. Belial is coming. He is coming. We have to hurry. He will cage us. I don’t want to be caged.”

Then they all heard the loud buzzing engines of the spaceships coming. Victor released the gates and he began to spin. Then he fell to the ground. He looked up and he saw an image of Roxy. It was a memory. And around him and Roxy were fifty people, scared and terrified. He told Roxy, “We must get these people to the caves and then we must get them to BQ8. That is the only way we can help them to reach the freedom of earth.”

Hearthville Serial: Book 5 – Chapter 15

On one of the monitors General Roxy saw Victor. She saw him produce the hologram of her from memory and she knew who he was in that past life. It caused her joy to see him there at the first Gate to Iapetus from Pluto Viso. She spoke to herself, “It is fitting that he who is now Victor might be my knight in shinning armour if only that were to be. Could it be? Is God about to shine grace upon me?”

Then on another monitor she saw Belial. She heard Belial. And his words stung. “Now is our chance to cage that son of a bitch, Amelia’s spawn. I want him caged. I want him to suffer.”

General Roxy felt like crying. There was nothing she could do to help Victor. She figured Belial would win and Victor would be caged. “He will be like me. God damn, he will be like me where there is no hope. I want hope. I need hope. I don’t want to be in this cage. I want to be free. I want to be with other people. Please God. I beg you. Please help Victor to escape Belial. Help him to find this cage and free me. Please. Please. Please. I beg.”
