Madison brings a higher witch by the name of Alice Malokey up on her monitor. Alice Malokey belongs to the family that controls the Malokey planet and realms. The Witches Council uses the Malokey planet to imprison the souls of witches and monsters they claim have turned to the dark side. She is powerful but she isn’t all powerful.

Alice is not a shapeshifter though she can shift her age. She generally presents herself to be around age 30. She has black hair and blue eyes. By the definition of most men she is pretty.

Madison says, “I am having trouble with an operation I have going in Ethiopia. I accidentally destroyed a village where Mardston Wallace had missionaries working.”

Alice takes a deep breath. She is not happy. “Why in the fucking hell would you do that?”

Madison says, “I had permission from the subcouncil though not all the facts were known. And I did kind of slip it by Mardston.”

Alice says, “So what you did was not totally by accident?”

Madison says, “Not exactly. An artist by the name of Darious was in the village. He has been painting pictures and telling stories about space alien witches.”

Alice says, “People paint those paintings and tell those stories. He is not the first. The souls whisper in their ears and show them things but no one takes them seriously.”

Madison says, “Darious painted paintings that showed the sacred RV3479 well.”

Alice asks, “Did the paintings reveal where it is located?”

Madison answers, “No. But he painted a young man by the name of Rogun at the well. Rogun was at the village when we took control of the village. We captured him and his parents. Darious escaped.”

Alice asks, “So Rogun can show you where the well is located? He can lead you to the maps?”

Madison says, “He says he has never been there. He claims he is not the man in the painting because the man in the paintings has the earth witch birthmark but he doesn’t.”

Alice asks, “The souls talking to Darious are psychic? They can get past the gatekeepers?”

Gatekeepers are similar to angels but their job is to protect the God Complex. They protect the time portals and other portals to hinder the movement of human souls and witch souls when they so desire.

Madison says, “That would be my guess. And of course as long as the souls are in the outer outlands we are not allowed to try to cage them.”

In the spiritual world the outer outlands might be compared to a physical untamed wilderness and there, sometimes even the metaphysical laws can be changed or bent. Though called the outlands the wilderness extends to a lower dimensional plane below the physical plane. It is like a tunnel that souls may pop up through and express themselves in the dreams of living creatures or even appear as ghost to living creatures. It is where souls can avoid the realms and the communities that have been created in other areas of the spirit world.

Alice studies the face of Madison through the monitor. She says, “Don’t even think of breaking that rule. Avoid the outlands! Earth’s God Complex must be respected no matter how inconvenient it may seem at times.”

Madison says, “I understand. I have been in the outlands and have seen a witch trying to put a soul into a cage end up being in the cage themselves. Even without the forbiddance of the God Complex it is a confusing, treacherous, and upside down place for we community souls. Though there are safari hunters who will go there for a price.”

Alice says, “Forget it.” Alice thinks a moment. She says, “So if he is the young man, and he may not be, he may not have gone to the well yet.”

Madison says, “The subcouncil is allowing me to keep Rogun but they are making me release his parents. I would like to ask for permission to kill Rogun and put his soul in a cage.”

Alice says, “No. They will not give you permission to kill the young man so don’t ask.”

Madison says, “If he finds the sacred well and finds the maps we might lose control of the situation. We do not want the charm that can open the realm of Iapetus to fall into the hands of the earth witches, regardless of whether they are cursed or among the freed. That would make them too dangerous.”

Alice says, “But there are freed earth witches on the Witches Council and they would like that charm found. There are even space alien witches on the Witches Council who would like that charm found. If they think there is any chance that Rogun might lead them to the ancient spaceship where that charm is hidden, they will tell you to free him and keep him tracked.”

Madison says, “I think we are playing a dangerous game if we leave this young man alive. Listen.” Madison hesitates.

Alice says, “Okay. I am listening.”

Madison says, “The subcouncil gave me permission to attack the village to kill Darious and destroy his art based strictly on his stories about space alien witches and werewolves. I did not tell them about his painting of the sacred well or the danger Rogun poses. They think I am simply holding Rogun to try to force him to tell me where Darious is hiding and where some of the paintings might be.”

Alice says, “Wait. Are you saying they don’t know about the painting of the sacred RV3479 well or perhaps the importance of Rogun?”

Madison says, “That is right. Darious associates with a werewolf who is on the kill list. I suggested the activities of Darious with the paintings and his stories might be part of a larger conspiracy.”

Alice says, “Are you fucking serious? They approved the attack on the village to kill Darious because of some vague conspiracy charge? Are you kidding me?”

Madison says, “I caught them at the end of a long day.”

Alice says, “Wait! You are talking about my subcouncil! It was my subcouncil that you used for this.”

Madison says, “That is right.”

Alice says, “And you are just now telling me about this. Members of my subcouncil did not consult me on this.”

Madison says, “Don’t be angry. Remember, this is really about the sacred well. This is important. That earth witches may think they might be able to gain control of the charm to open Iapetus is a big deal. My method may have been objectionable but I am right in not wanting the earth witches to find that charm. And I am telling you about this now.”

Alice says, “Because you want me to approve the killing of a young man. And I am saying no.”

Madison says, “His death could be an accident.”

Alice says, “No. Don’t give the earth witches on the council a reason to hate us more.”

Madison says, “They will not know a thing about what has transpired. Rogun is a nobody.”

Alice says, “You think all earth witches are a nobody. Even your own mother.”

Madison says, “As far as I know he is not even an earth witch. So we kill him. He spends some time in purgatory or the outlands or where ever and then he is recycled on earth or some of other planet with lower souls.”

Alice says, “For you to call reincarnation being recycled, what the fuck is wrong with you?”

Madison says, “I thought we are friends.”

Alice says, “We are friends. I am not going to betray you. I am trying to reason with you. Do not kill Roguff?”

Madison says, “You mean Rogun. His name is Rogun Haskel.”

Alice says, “Keep him for 30 days. Get whatever information that you can from him. Tag him as part of a private operation so that the Witches Council will have no reason to know why. If he leads you to the sacred well then be ready to prevent the earth witches from getting the information that is there.”

Madison says, “I still say we need to kill him so that the prophecy can not happen.”

Alice says, “Be reasonable. It is better for us to find the sacred well and destroy the maps there than it is to risk some earth witch accidentally finding the sacred well.”

Madison says, “Most people do not even know what sacred RV3479 well is. If they find it they will not know what they have found. But Darious knows what it is. And Rogun knows what it is. Rogun is the danger. He is the prophecy.”

Alice says, “I will consider what you have argued. At the end of 30 days, if you still want to kill him, then I may approve of it. But if you can, somehow figure out from him where the sacred well is. Then get that information so that we can destroy the maps. Understood.”

Madison says, “Understood. Thirty days and unless you give him a reprieve he will have a fatal accident.”

Alice says, “Okay. Understand, I value your friendship.”

Madison says, “And I value your friendship as well. Bye.

Alice says, “Bye.”

They end their discussion.
