A New Orleans Saints quarterback has been suspended by the National Football League.
Jake Haener, the Saints’ fourth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and former Fresno State quarterback, has been suspended for the first six games of the 2023 NFL season.
Haener reportedly violated the NFL’s performance enhancing drugs policy.
He does understand how the ped (not named as far as I can research) got into his system.
According a report on Bleacher Report, current NFL players project that between 10 and 40 percent of the league is using human growth hormone, or HGH, a banned substance that increases strength, decreases body fat and facilitates quicker healing from injury.
A PED test in the NFL means evaluating random or scheduled urine samples. A majority of positive cases result from these checks. The policy also requires 20% of players to undergo random blood testing for human growth hormones annually in training camps.
Because the number of checks return positive the odds are high that so called random is in fact someone trying to get a fellow player in trouble by being a snitch, an asshole, or just a plain son of a bitch. If a player does not like another player, maybe slip them something and then get them tested. Football is a dog eat dog sport where players are chasing that first string and that big money.
It should be noted that some supplements such as L-argnine do increase HGH release.
