With Musk, Is All That Is Old New Again

Elon Musk’s first tech company was Zip2, a software company that he co-founded in 1995. Zip2 was an online city guide that provided searchable business directories and maps.

Musk co-founded Zip2 with his brother Kimbal and Greg Kouri. PayPal co-founder Elon Musk was just 23 when he and his younger brother, Kimbal, met Kouri, a friend of their parents, in Toronto in 1995. The brothers moved to Silicon Valley, and Kouri helped them launch a startup, Zip2, an early door-to-door direction service. Kouri became vice-president of business development.  The company was originally called Global Link Information Network.

Gregory (Greg) Anthony Kouri, 51, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 11, 2012 in New York City.

Compaq’s AltaVista division bought the company in 1999 for $307 million, and the Musks and Kouri plowed some of the proceeds into X.com, an online financial services company. In 2000, Musk merged it with a payments startup called Confinity, led by Peter Thiel. Musk received $22 million for his 7% share.

Elon Musk co-founded X.com, which merged with Confinity to form PayPal in 2000. He was briefly the CEO of PayPal before being ousted by the board in 2000. Musk remained the largest shareholder of PayPal after being ousted as CEO. In 2002, eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion, netting Musk $165 million.

And now…

Elon Musk just took another step toward turning X into a financial powerhouse. The platform is rolling out X Money, a digital wallet and peer-to-peer payment service backed by Visa (NYSE:V). This means X users can now move money between their bank accounts and X’s ecosystemjust like Zelle or Venmo. CEO Linda Yaccarino confirmed Visa as the first financial partner, making it clear that X is dead serious about integrating payments into the app. With X Payments LLC already licensed in 41 states, the groundwork is in place for Musk’s vision of a fully integrated financial network.

Elon Musk is intent on becoming a competitor with PayPal, a company he helped to found after rebranding twitter, X, after one of his earlier companies.

Pushing the Anti-Vice Agenda

So some liberal magazine–isn’t that always the way-is talking about heart disease.  “It is the number one killer of Americans.” According to a new report from the American Heart Association published in the journal Circulation: 941,652 Americans died from cardiovascular disease in 2022. Before Covid the number of deaths by heart attack was somewhat lower–in 2019 the number was 874,000–but that is not mentioned in the article. Deaths from cardiovascular disease (CVD) jumped globally from 12.1 million in 1990 to 20.5 million in 2021.

According to most medical data, the average age of someone who dies from a heart attack is around 65 years old, with men typically experiencing heart attacks slightly younger than women at around 65 years old compared to 72 years old for women respectively.

The Most Common Risk Factors for Heart Disease include:

Age (the older you are, the higher your risk)

Autoimmune diseases or conditions

Diabetes diagnosis (both type 1 and type 2 diabetes raise your risk)

Drinking alcohol

Genetics (heart disease can run in families, even if you’re otherwise healthy)

High blood pressure

High cholesterol

Obesity

Sedentary lifestyle

Smoking, which cardiologists say is the worst habit for heart health

Stress

So then this liberal magazine suggest the ways you can reduce your risk of dying from heart disease.  Note that they put the vices at top.

Quitting smoking and vaping

Quitting drinking (or at least cutting back)

Exercising regularly

Eating a healthy diet (cardiologists love the Mediterranean and DASH diets)

Monitoring and managing your blood pressure

Taking necessary medications as directed by your doctor (like statins for cholesterol or blood thinners if prescribed)

Managing your weight (with a doctor’s help and medications if prescribed)

Managing your diabetes with a doctor’s guidance

Getting at least seven hours of sleep each night

Managing stress (we know it’s hard in this timeline, but do your best)

Remember that it is not how long you live but how well you live.  Pleasure is important.  You should live an active life but you should do what you enjoy.  When the doctors told my mom to stop smoking and I went along that was probably one of the worst things I did in my life.  My mom enjoyed smoking.  It helped reduce her stress.  She was a type one, brittle, juvenile diabetic.  When she stopped smoking her eating habits became worse.  But worse, when she stopped smoking it did not increase her quality of life or her life span.  It was stupid advice.

And understand I am old.  So I know that when I visited nursing homes for other people, earlier, there were elderly people  smoking, who had smoked everyday since they were very young.  Some people do have health issues from smoking but not everyone.  Not everyone is the same.

As I learned both from caring for my mom and much later my dad who lived to be 90, with exceptions, doctors are idiots.  People need to understand that.  And doctors will generally tell you whatever our insane government tells them to tell you in their seminars.  That became very clear during the covid shit.

Some doctors get through their education because they are smart in every sense of the word.  But some doctors get where they are because they have very good memories and know not to question the bullshit they are being taught.  Those doctors generally do not have a lick of common sense and will tell you whatever the government wants them to tell you.

But as a rule, don’t trust any doctor.  Do not blindly accept whatever they are telling you.  Question them.  At the end of the day, it is you who is in charge of your heath and the quality of your life.  Doctors and the government may like to play God but they aren’t God.  Within reason, if you want to smoke, smoke unless you can actually feel it causing you health problems such as coughs or a weakness or getting sick more often than you should.  The same with drinking.  Just don’t become a drunk.

And for the record I don’t smoke and I don’t drink because that is not something that I would enjoy.  That choice is not based on what some doctor, media, or government says.  It is my choice.

CNN Calls The Biden Economy A Goldilocks Economy

During the Biden economy CNN’s revenue dropped 18%, over $400 million.  In 2022 the inflation rate was reported as over 8%.  Although we know Biden under reported inflation, the reported inflation during the Biden years was over 11%. The real number is probably over 20%. Inflation has outpace wage increases whichever number you use.

And yet CNN makes the claim that Trump threatens Biden’s Goldilocks economy.  Apparently Goldilocks was an insane bitch who ran a feudal estate and broke into people’s homes to insult their intelligence and to eat their soup and to leave them broke and hungry and suicidal.  And CNN writers love the crazy bitch.

To add insult to injury by CNN’s love for Biden’s economy, the wealth disparity between rich, middle class, and poor increased under Biden.  The Oligarchy saw their wealth increase $1.5 trillion.

The article on CNN is mostly about Trump pausing, ordering the suspension of hundreds of billions of dollars in federal grants and loans. A judge temporarily halted the suspension. CNN claims the temporary suspension is illegal, but government departments are not required to spend all the money allocated by Congress. The Antideficiency Act and the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act (ICA) limit how much money federal agencies can spend. The temporary suspension is intended to get a handle on what the departments are doing, such as sending $50 million worth of condoms to GAZA.

Both Trump and Biden increased the government debt by a huge amount during the unprecedented times, but now the debt must be brought back in line and Trump is trying to do that. It is going to be difficult if not impossible. The Democrats can either rant and rave like a bunch of angry lunatics or they can help.

The first government of the United States was the Second Continental Congress, which served as a provisional government from 1776 to 1781. The first US Government was brought down by high taxes and unmanageable debt at the state level that culminated in the Shay’s rebellion. Every politician, Democrat or Republican, should be aware that it was high taxes and high debt that destroyed the first American Government. They should be more than determined to make sure our current government is not destroyed in a similar fashion.

Trump proposes Jordan, Egypt take in Gazans so decimated Strip can be turned into Monaco

Trump proposes Jordan, Egypt take in Gazans so decimated Strip can be turned into Monaco. I guess next, he is planning to send all the people in Los Angeles to New York.  After Katrina destroyed New Orleans Bush scattered the people of New Orleans all over the place, in part to cover up his incompetence.

Earlier Trump had been suggesting the Palestinians be relocated to Indonesia.  Apparently Indonesia responded with a sincere, “That is not happening.”  Though Indonesia has offered to be part of a peace keeping force to protect the Palestinians from Israel.

Meanwhile Israel is saying that it will not withdraw from Southern Lebanon.

The ceasefire deal for Lebanon gave both sides 60 days to remove their forces from southern Lebanon and for the Lebanese army to move in and secure the area. Israel says Hezbollah and the Lebanese army haven’t met their obligations, while Lebanon accuses the Israeli army of hindering the Lebanese military from taking over.

Is Twitter Going Down For the Count

There is little doubt that after taking over Twitter that Elon Musk made mistakes.  Linda Yaccarino, who Musk made the CEO of Twitter was probably his biggest mistake.   Musk needed someone  who would push to restore Twitter to its early days, instead of listening to the hate speech bullcrap from the elite media, the advertisers, Ms. Yaccarino.  Although she and Musk pretended to support  Twitter as a free speech platform the blue checkmark fiasco made sure that never happened.

“You have to pay for free speech.”  “I need to make money on twitter, but you can only make money if you accept your role as my sharecropper and fork over your money.”

Twitter’s echo chamber became worst.  The user’s average impression level became worse as it became clear that part of the Musk/Yaccarino agenda was that users could say what they want but that didn’t mean anyone could actually view the tweets.  The fake trending topics became worse as most tweets that didn’t fit the agenda became suppressed.

One lie twitter uses when it wants to hurt an account is it makes the false accusation that someone is attempting to manipulate the platform and spam.  A different account that I set up for sensitive content got that claim against it even though the account has few follows/followers and I almost never post from it.  It had not been hacked.

Although I began posting real sensitive content on my sayata account, that was because most of my non-sensitive content was marked as sensitive such as pictures of cars.  Without posting some #nsfw content on twitter I would get no traffic at all.

In the early days twitter would get me traffic.  My tweets would get hundred of views.  No, I was never John Mayer, but twitter halfway worked for me.  Then Jack Dorsey allowed private groups to mine the twitter data and flag and suppress whoever they wanted and my twitter problems began.

After the election Twitter hit Laura Loomer and other MAGA Republicans. who had foolishly paid for the blue check mark, with a slap in the face as they got demonetized and censored.  If Musk is trying to build a growing audience for twitter, he sure has done a lot of things to chase users away.  (I just looked at Laura Loomer’s twitter account and she does have the blue check mark.)

A Laura Loomer Tweet:

When the dissident right started talking about how free speech was back on twitter, many of us were looking around and shaking our head. We knew they were being used and at some point they would be back in the same boat as the rest of us, who NEVER, saw free speech return to twitter.

The worst wave of censorship that hit the internet across youtube, twitter, etc. was in 2018 under Donald Trump and as we now know, the government was directing the censorship.  Later, the joke that Donald Trump turned the Supreme Court into, upheld the government’s illegal behavior.

Structures Recently Found Inside Earth’s Mantle Shouldn’t Exist

This video was done by Anton Petrov, not me.

AI Information Below:

Recent discoveries beneath the Earth include a “doughnut-shaped” region at the top of the outer core, providing new insights into the Earth’s magnetic field, as well as large, continent-sized “blobs” floating within the mantle, which could be remnants of subducted tectonic plates; scientists have also confirmed the existence of an “innermost core” within the Earth’s center, representing a distinct layer within the core itself.
Key points about these new discoveries:

Doughnut-shaped structure:
Located at the boundary between the liquid outer core and the mantle, this structure could offer new information about the dynamics of the Earth’s magnetic field.

“Blob” structures in the mantle:
These large, mysterious masses could be remnants of subducted tectonic plates, potentially revealing past geological activity.

Innermost core:
Evidence suggests a distinct layer within the Earth’s inner core, potentially indicating a complex history of the planet’s cooling process

AI on the idea that another planet once collided with earth.

The most significant evidence that a planet once collided with Earth is the presence of large, dense “blobs” deep within Earth’s mantle, called Large Low-Velocity Provinces (LLVPs), which scientists believe are remnants of a Mars-sized planet called Theia that collided with early Earth, forming the Moon in the process; this theory is known as the “giant impact hypothesis.”

Is the ‘Dead Internet’ theory suddenly coming true?

The linked article was written: 4-16-2024

The article is about how AI is replacing humans with content creation.  We all see it and also see how the AI content seems to be able to manipulate the algorithms to show up at the top of browse results.  But here is the thing, those browse results meant to influence if not brainwash us are hurting the platforms.

CNN gets lots of browse views on youtube but actually makes very little money on youtube.  And if youtube treated CNN like it treats real humans, CNN would hardly be seen at all in browse views.  The article pushes the argument that some people, especially  the elderly, don’t always realize that they are looking at AI content, but on some level they do.  That said, if it is truly informative or entertaining they don’t care.  But if is boring and repetitive and designed to show as many ads as possible, just like if it was done by a human, it gets turned off fairly fast.

So, back to the main point, is the internet becoming less human and more bot/AI?  Does that make it more difficult for humans to make money online?  I would say probably, but most influencers are not AI/bots.  They may use AI/bots but the majority of the content product the viewer sees is still the influencer and it is the influencer that is supported by their community either through ads or tips.  It is not much different from a branded newspaper using a wire service for a lot of their articles and not just their local reporters.

Before going to the article, this is what google AI says on the subject:

While the “dead internet” theory, where the internet is dominated by AI-generated content and bots, is not guaranteed to become a full reality, the increasing sophistication of AI, particularly large language models like ChatGPT, does raise significant concerns about the potential for a substantial portion of online interactions to be non-human, making the idea increasingly plausible depending on how platforms and users manage AI usage

To be clear the following article is written by someone else and NOT me:

CNN to lay off hundreds of employees as post-inauguration transformation begins, sources say

Ted Turner launched the Cable News Network (CNN) on June 1, 1980 at 5 PM Eastern Time. CNN was the first 24-hour news channel in the world.  Lois Hart and David Walker: The married team of Hart and Walker co-anchored CNN’s first newscast on June 1, 1980.

CNN which stands for Cable News Network is about to become less cable and more digital.  With that transformation CNN is planning to slash its workforce. Certain shows that are produced in New York or Washington may move to Atlanta, where production can be done more cheaply, said the people in charge of CNN and the transformation.

During a town hall meeting earlier this month, CNN CEO Mark Thompson said the media company has received an investment of “more than $70 million” from Warner Bros. Discovery to help fund the company’s digital operations. Part of that investment will go toward hiring employees in areas where CNN sees potential growth avenues, such as data scientists and product development and influencers.

CNN’s ad revenue has dropped 39% with a drop from $128 million to $78 million in its more recent reported history.  As of January 13, 2025, CNN’s YouTube channel was estimated to earn between $9,371.15 and $28,113.45.  Compare that to Mr. Beast who earns $700 million.

What Will Follow the TikTok Ban

Back in 2021, even before China began approaching its Trillion Dollar Trade Surplus with the world, Trump was considered on banning more than just TikTok.

The Trump administration was considering adding tech giants Alibaba and Tencent to a blacklist of firms allegedly owned or controlled by the Chinese military, two people familiar with the matter whispered.
Targeting Asia’s two most valuable companies would be U.S. President Donald Trump’s most dramatic step yet in a recent raft of measures unleashed against Chinese companies as he seeks to cement his hardline policy against Beijing during his final days in office.
But now, 4 years later and a new term in office, at least on the surface, Trump appears to oppose the ban on TikTok.  But China has only become more brazen with their threats against the US.

Chinese hackers breached the US government office that reviews foreign investments for national security risks, three US officials familiar with the matter told CNN.

The theft, which has not previously been reported, underscores Beijing’s keen interest in spying on a US government office that has broad powers to block Chinese investment in the US as tensions between the world’s two superpowers remain high.

Although China has repeated that its nuclear policy is a “no first strike” policy, on the ground our US military says from what they are observing is that China is most certainly developing the ability to attack the United States first. It appears that China is invading our technology and our infrastructure with an apparent goal to prevent a US retaliation upon the US being attacked first. They have attacked and infiltrated our Treasury and our communication networks. Their plan may be to try to collapse the US economy shortly before the attack comes.
