Chrysler rolls out SUV - our communist government does not want carmarkers to promote cars that actually sell.
Chrysler says the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which clocks in at 20 mpg in its two-wheel-drive version and 19 in four-wheel-drive, is a crowd favorite and a crucial part of its lineup.
"This is a very important vehicle for us. It's one of the primary legs of the Chrysler stool," Chrysler spokesman Rick Deneau said. "Customers have told us they want this vehicle and that it's the right size."
___
People do not want small cars. That is one thing that killed the automakers when the price of gas went up to $4 a gallon. Contrary to media propaganda of the time, people were NOT rushing out to buy small cars. But media propaganda made them have second thoughts about buying a new SUV or new Truck and so they just stuck with what they were driving.
Small cars are less safe and people know it, even if the government doesn't know it.
The answer is not small cars. The answer is getting better fuel economy in large vehicles.
___
But anyway, dictator Obama is none to happy with Chrysler. He is looking to see who he needs to fire. :-(
