EU, US call for a global summit to reshape banking

Myza Ramble.......................

Look, the problem is that economic centralism does NOT work.

The propagandist rant and rave about deregulation. But understand these same people are quick not to talk about the repeal of the glass steagal act. That isn't the deregulation they are talking about. Oh, heaven forbid they should be talking about regulations that would have prevented corporate mergers and the growing concentration of economic power into the hands of too few people. And oh no, let us not talk about how a change in the bankruptcy law that became tougher on working class families may have added to the problem. Let us sure as hell not talk about predatory lending.

The problem was not with so called deregulation if such a bird even existed. The problem was bad laws and bad regulations. The problem is, we live in a world where governments are incompetent to actually pass a law that isn't at least 300 pages long. And yet these fucking nuts have the nerve to suggest the problem was deregulation and therefore we now need more government and thousands and thousands more laws and more regulations. Never mind it was more government. It is more government that is fucking everything up.

The Democrats say, oh, let us blame the Republicans for everything. But it was the damn f'ing democrats who were the reason that loans were being made to people who couldn't pay the loans back.

And what the hell do the American people think is the basic insane plan that the nut in the White House and nuts in Congress have put in place. It is to get companies back to lending money to people who can't pay it back. You know. Unlock the credit markets. Well hell. The damn credit markets need to be locked. Hell. All of Washington and New York City needs to be locked. Locked the hell up that is.

But no.

Let us allow the insane people to hold a world summit. Let them write thousands of pages of World Regulations to dictate how our nationalized banking system will operate. That is the ticket to get the economy back working. NOT.

An economy is not really about money. All economies, at their core, are a barter system. When the system promotes exchanges of goods and services, the barter system creates wealth. When the barter system starts breaking down, the broken system destroys wealth.

When workers are not paid enough to even be able to trade for the products they produce, an inflationary gap starts to develop, and the system starts to break down. When all of the monopoly money ends up in the hands of too few people the system breaks down; the monopoly game comes to an end. The fuckers are desperate to keep a debt driven economy, a slave economy, going. But look, people should not have to go deep in debt for a place to live. They should not have to borrow money to buy clothes. And they sure as hell should not have to borrow money to buy food. And they sure as hell should not have to work a 70 hour work week just to make ends meet or too often, not meet.

You don't close the inflationary gap in the economy by getting people to keep borrowing money to buy stuff they can't afford. You close the inflationary gap by increasing incomes and reducing cost so people can afford more without borrowing money.

And I am sorry, but you kill the myth that everyone is supposed to be able to afford a mcmansion. You don't keep destroying "slums" because they ain't pretty. People need slums until they work and save and can afford something better.

Local governments are still destroying public and substandard housing because they don't want poor people living in their area. That crazy attitude has got to be stopped.

I guess Iza will end this ramble here.
