My Opinion on Health Care Reform
Obama calls health care system "a ticking bomb for the federal budget."
____
Okay, if true, how is getting the Federal Government more deeply involved going to solve that problem.
___
Obama went before the American Medical Association in Chicago Monday to declare that the existing system leaves too many uninsured and forces "excessive defensive medicine" by doctors worried about malpractice suits.
___
Wasn't that one of the sermons of the Bush administration. But the truth is that defensive medicine is not all together a bad thing. Does anyone think that when a doctor cuts off a babies dick during circumcision those responsible should not have their asses sued off? Excessive awards by jury are a problem but that is a problem not limited to the medical profession. Course the Democrats do not really want to deal with the issue in a straight forward way in that they have used to excessive awards to hurt political opposition such as against the tobacco industry.
____
Obama told his audience he is open to requiring all Americans to have health insurance.
____
Excuse me, but medical insurance is not part of the solution. It is a large part of the problem. Insurance is only for "things" where the odds are against the "things" happening. We are all born. We all get sick at some point. At some point we all die. Money that should be going toward medical care is instead being diverted to crooked insurance companies that are dependent on an illegal pyramid scheme of insurance premiums.
___
Obama wants to cut federal payments to hospitals by about $200 billion and cut $313 billion from Medicare and Medicaid over 10 years. He also is proposing a $635 billion "down payment" in tax increases and spending cuts in the health care system.
___
So apparently Obama wants to destroy medical care in the United States while increasing transfer payments to the insurance companies.
____
To an audience of doctors Obama plans to say the United States spends too much on health care and gets too little in return.
___
And Obama measures the "too little in return" how. How does he figure this? In truth health care is one of the safety net areas of the economy that helped prevent Obama and his Arab friends, running the price of oil up to $150 a barrel, from throwing the economy into a total depression. Was GM paying too much in health care cost. Of course they were. But what destroyed GM was insane trade laws, costly regulations, and the price of gas going up to $4 a gallon and a lockup in the credit markets because of government debt not being properly monetarized while encouraging the Chinese and other trading partners to buy T-Bills rather than American products.
___
___
Health Care is best made affordable by creating a free enterprise system that generates high income for working Americans so they will be able to afford non-catastrophic health care cost. Insurance should only be used for catastrophic events. Otherwise, insurance is a pyramid scheme with constantly increasing rates that the economy can not afford; regardless of whether it is the government or private business that finances the pyramid scheme.
Government money is best invested with hospitals than with insurance schemes, private or public.
___
This is my opinion on health care reform and Obama. You may have a different opinion. That is cool.
