Thai authorities first said suicide. Then they said accidental death during sex play. A photo which has brought the powerful Carradine family in full attack mode against some in media shows David Carradine hanging in a closet with a rope around his neck, his wrist bound, and with his genitals bound. The Carradine family has made clear they will sue any publication which publishes the picture.

There has been a recent Atlanta case where a boy is said to have hung himself because of bullying and the Atlanta media was playing that angle up. The Atlanta Media seemingly did not want just one young person's life ended but wanted to drive the so called "bullies" into a suicidal state while the school was struggling to make sure that did not happen. While the media was pushing the suicide/bullying angle, at least some wondered in the background if that case was also about sex play. But it is one thing to wonder, while it is another to try to state the unknown as known whether the issue is bullying or sex play.

The bottom line in both cases, is we just don't know. All we know is that David Carradine was a cool actor who brought many of us pleasure. All we know in the Atlanta boy's death is he died young and that is tragic.

Regardless, while we don't know what happened in either case. Authorities and media should not get so caught up in sensationalizing either death that they forget to explore the possibility of murder.
