Playing with Garage Band this morning on my new Mac. Still have to download a bunch of stuff. Now wondering if I should have got one of the more expensive Macs but I am still thinking no. But there is going to be a lot on this hard drive.

Garage Band is pretty cool. Just doing tracks with the computer computer. Have not yet tried to the Microphone or hooking instruments up to it. I haven't checked to see if there is a way I can hook my keyboard up to it.

When I was buying the computer I asked if php was on it. I had read that it was but that there were things that needed to be done to get it set up. But they didn't know for sure what I was talking about. Anyway, it is there. I have not got it set up yet.

I haven't got the programming tools set up to play with either. There is a good bit to the Mac but I am behind the curve on it.

I guess some of the things that don't seem too straight forward probably wouldn't on the PC either, except that I am used to the PC.

The more I use computers though, the one thing that amazes me is that not everything is going forward or advancing. It is almost like the computers require more resources to do less. See, I've played on earlier computers. I know what they could do with a hell of a less resources. The one thing they could not do well is multi-task which we now all do pretty much take for granted.

But you take the old commodore. It was one hell of a computer not to survived in the marketplace.
