Egypt's move to slaughter pigs is largely meant to deprive Christian communities of money and food. It has nothing to do with any true belief by Egyptians that the pigs carry any risk of so called swine flu.

That our own USA government has misused the term swine flu might should raise questions. The term swine flu should NEVER have been used to describe H1N1, a new virus strain that is a mix of swine, avian and human viruses. Using the term swine flu was not smart.

Egypt has a large Moslem population that hates the minority Christian community. Moslems believe pork to be unclean.
