Chapter One The Duddley family lived in a modest home on the cul-de-sac portion of Regions Way; a fairly quiet road. The Regions Neighborhood was within walking distance of a long, winding beautiful white public beach on Hearthville Lake. The beach measured nearly half a mile long. Although part of the Hearthville Lake was filled with water from the Hearthville River, part of the lake was fed by clear springs. Except after heavy rains, the lake water was clear enough so that swimmers could see the fish swimming in the lake around their feet. Elliot Duddley was the patriarch of the family. He worked at the Hearthville College in administration. Some people had been known to suggest he favored John Denver, mainly because of his haircut. Some mornings he drove to work and some mornings he walked down to the lake where he had his boat docked. From there he would get in his boat and set the throttle to a high speed to race across the lake like a bat out of hell. He loved the feel of the air and the bouncing of the boat as he sped to the college campus where he worked. Hearthville College was not across the lake but just farther down the shoreline a few miles from where the Duddley family lived. |

The start of the story seems simple enough. A quiet introduction. And it remains simple. | ||||||||
From last Chapter Victor said, “Okay, away from the divisive bullshit world of politics that none of us can do anything about anyway, so Jack, you want someone special like Preacher Pat?” “Someone.” Stewart nodded. “So what about you Victor? Are you a slut or do you want someone special?” “I am a virgin. I don’t think I will ever love anyone again.” “I date but I haven’t really clicked with anyone. I don’t know. Katelyn wanted to give me a hand job and I let her but that is as far as I have ever gone.” Jack said, “I am pretty sure Katelyn is a lesbian. Why would she want to give you a hand job?” “She may have been collecting his sperm. She is six months pregnant.” Jack said, “No, she isn’t. Why do you say shit like that?”
skip, skip and then from last Chapter Jack laughed. “Body builders have small dicks. They might as well be women.” Victor chuckled. “I am not a body builder. But Stewart, he likes to lift weights.” Stewart said, “Shut up. I may not be a freak down there like you but my cock is big enough.” Jack slapped Stewart on the back. “Right. The first time I saw Victor naked in the shower after gym I had nightmares about Big Foot chasing me around with that thing.” Stewart said, “It is a scary looking cock.” “You two shut up. You are just jealous.
Penis envy is a terrible thing.” |

Hearthville Serial What Happened to Victor Book 3 Chapter 1The past 2015Victor and Jossette are planning to have sex but have decided to wait when Rita and Rachel burst into the attic room to find the two of them naked. Chapter 2The past 2015Excerpt: Victor felt himself being tossed into the boot of a car. Rita threw his clothes and shoes on top of his lap, groin, area. He managed to open his eyes and realized they were putting him in his own car. He solemnly fixed his helpless eyes to stare into the eyes of Rachel and she stared back as if to see into his very soul. Then she looked at Rita and the devilish grin on Rita’s face. Chapter 3The past 2015Excerpt: Rachel opened the closet where Rita had locked Mark and Jossette. “Where is Victor?” Jossette screamed. Naked, frantic, and angry she emerged from the closet. “We had decided to wait.” Jossette’s voice quivered. Then Jossette screamed, “You hurt Victor. Angry or not, how could you be so cruel? Aunt, I am so furious at you, but I still love you. Don’t you love me? Can’t you understand how much Victor means to me?” Seeing that her Aunt Rachel had no quick answers to either apologize or assure her that Victor was okay, “Jossette walked to grab up her clothes. In tears, she began to dress. “Such a nightmare.” Mark repeated Jossette’s question. “Where is Victor?” Rachel thought of the lie she was going to tell. “He got away from Rita and me. But I doubt either of you will ever enjoy him as a lover again. He will think twice before he attempts any future dalliance with either of you.” Mark screamed at his mom. “How thick in the head are you, you crazy woman? Victor and I never had sex. I am not gay and neither is he. Victor loves Jossette.” |

Chapter 4Back to the presentExcerpt: Rita continued to sit at a concrete table on the patio. She stood from the table and walked to the covered swimming pool. There was sparkling clear water above the baby blue cover with no leaves or debris. Standing at the pool and seeing her own reflection in the water, Rita felt a strangeness about her. She talked to herself. She talked to the reflection. “There was a witch. I know there was a witch. There was not just a demon inside of me that caused me to become so crazy. That next day close to evening Rachel and I became lucid enough to realize that we had left Victor in the boot of a car. We were frantic. We could not remember where we had left Victor in the boot. Where was the car! It was all so strange. Rachel called Arthur. I thank God Arthur was able to find and save Victor.” Rita shook her head. “And Victor doesn’t even remember what happened. I am not sure if I remember it fully or correctly either. I know there was a witch about when the madness happened, as crazy as that sounds. I know people like to say, ‘The devil made me do it.” I know I am to blame for what I did. All of my crazy doings were not because of a witch, but there was a witch. Still, how can I tell people that, that which sounds so ridiculous. Other than Rachel, who might believe me, and she is in a mental institution. And here I am talking to myself.” Rita laughed out loud. “If you, my reflection, should talk back that would be something. My madness would be complete.” The ghost of Willy Doomis stood at Rita’s side. He looked around. “Why am I here? I don’t want to be here.” His eyes focused on Rita. “Oh dear.” A look of true fright appeared on Willy’s face. “Oh dear. This is not good. I have felt that force before.” He whispered in Rita’s ear, “There is a force here. It is a dangerous force. It summons your words. It controls your reflection. Leave. Leave now. It is waking and it is growing more powerful. Leave!” Rita felt a chill. She looked around but she saw no one. She had not heard Willy’s voice to heed his warning. Still on some level she seemed to have some sense of what he had said. Chapter 5Excerpt: Victor parked his orange mustang. He held flowers in his hand as he walked to the grave of Jossette Ogleby. There were already fresh flowers on the grave. He looked around the cemetery and saw another lot that did not have fresh flowers on it. He noticed the graves of Nette and Artorius Ramsey. Victor put the flowers he had intended to put on the grave of Jossette on the grave of Nette. The ghost of Artorius appeared at Victor’s side though Victor could not see him or hear him. Artorius said, “You son of a bitch, you stay away from my wife.” Victor stared at the picture of Artorius and Nette that was embossed on the grave. “A handsome couple,” Victor said. “You son a bitch, flattery will get you no where. I hated you from the moment I first saw you with Nette.” Chapter 6Excerpt: Victor woke. His head hurt. He was shirtless and in his boxer shorts. They had hearts on them. His pants were dangling off the side of the bed. He was laying in the floor. Victor grabbed the side of the bed and pulled himself up into a standing position. His legs felt wobbly but they strengthened as he stood. He rubbed his smooth stomach and tossed his head back to look up toward the white ceiling and the black ceiling fan. A white sock dangled off the side of one of the blades as the blades swooped round and round. Victor walked to the dresser. He looked in the mirror. He saw his eyes were blood shot. He noticed a stack of one hundred dollar bills on the dresser. He counted twenty of them. He mumbled to himself, “I told Stewart he didn’t have to pay me back the money I gave him.” Victor walked to the bathroom that was off from his bedroom. He pulled a blue towel and a white wash rag from the cabinet. He hung them on the outside of the shower door. He opened the medicine cabinet that was set back in the wall, above the large round sink that was painted gold set in a long counter that was black and white marble. He removed an aspirin bottle from a glass shelf. He opened the lid and turned it to toss an aspirin into his hand. The bottle was empty. He tossed the aspirin bottle into the green garbage can set in an opening below the counter. Victor pulled off his boxers and tossed them into a green hamper next to the garbage can. He rubbed his stomach and his cock. He massaged his hairy balls and his prostate area. He turned the shower on and waited a few seconds for the water to warm. Then he stepped into the shower and enjoyed the feel of warm water streaming over his naked body. Chapter 7Excerpt: Eighteen year old Judy Duddley drove into the lot of the Hearthville Garage where her boyfriend, Steed Ramsey worked. Though unknown to Judy, Steed was rich. He was trying to prove he could be more self-reliant and not depend on an allowance from his trust fund. As a result Judy thought Steed was poor. Judy had no idea who Steed was. She didn’t know that he was Mark Ramsey or that his father was the gangster Arthur Ramsey or that his mother Rachel was in the Hearthville Mental Institution. She didn’t know that Steed was one and the same person as Victor’s friend Mark Ramsey. In just the last couple of years Mark had changed in appearance. His hair was longer as he now kept it. He was more muscular. His hair was more blond where it had been more a cross between a dark sandy brown and sandy blond. Also Mark had been Victor’s friend and not hers. To Judy it was not rememberable if she had ever heard Mark speak more than the casual hello or goodbye. It was not as unusual that Judy did not recognize Steed as being Mark as it was that Victor did not recognize him. Whether from a supernatural cause or a psychological cause Victor did not much remember Mark. This eBook has a total of 15 Chapters. |
